He is better going forward than defending, having said that he is a good defender, just very good going forward

No true but if we get Rooney firing on all cylinders we still have a lot of potential and now we have some steel in the middle of the pitch.

It has been disappointing no doubt about that, I'm of to bed anyway.

We best atleast have Fellaini and Coentrao when I wake up!

I don't want to be that guy but
Reports out of Spain now suggest the Fabio Coentrao loan deal did NOT go through.
Apparently paperwork wasn't done on time according to Twitter

Not a winger imo but a cracking attacking full back..covers a lot of ground and has a great engine.

Spoke to my cousin and apparently persons unknown were masquerading as Utd officials in La Liga offices in Madrid, some sort of elaborate scam. This is utterly fascinating, where were the real Manchester "people" and were they there at all?..was there any intention to sign Ander...?

I have pics from Spanish Telly of three men in black suits leaving the building..sinister,will stick them up..

Exactly.Whilst he done absolutely nothing wrong,he is the guy who has to turn up at training and face his team mates knowing that he doesn't really want ti be there...very awkward.

His intention is obviously to leave at some juncture and as an Athletic Fan I wish the deal had gone through. He is our best player and impossible for the new manager to build a team around someone who isn't entirely committed to the team.

For what it's worth the best business Manchester did was keeping Rooney.RVP relies on his service so much as was evident yesterday.

One thing is for sure,as long as Urrutia is president at Bilbao AH will not be going to Utd after this **** up...real loss for Utd and us as well ultimately.

Very disingenuous to welch on a deal...something Gill and SAF would never have done.

If it is any consolation, we still have definitely the best strikers in the premiership. The best defence probably. The so so midfield should now improve. Just wished Moyes could use Kagawa more. FFS a best player in the league of the top 2 European teams cannot turn bad overnight...

Best attack no doubt although Welbeck has to yield to the Pea.The Rooney/RVP parnership is unplayable when they are on form which is more often than not...great to watch.

Defence is however looking poorer of late..Rio's marking yesterday was shocking and he is past his best.Vidic is class but too injury prone.Jones is clumbsy and completely clueless whilst Smalling hasn't recovered since Fernando Llorente tore him a new one and split his skull two years ago in the Europa league.

Wtf ! Am I dreaming? Arsene paying £42.5m for a single player. Amazing what fan power does to you. This looks like Real already recouping some of the money spent on Bale...<laugh>
