I think the Defoe to QPR links are very unlikely. His name's just being chucked about by Tony Fernandes to drive down the wage demands of another target (Fabio Borini)
Defoe would want £80k+ a week - only Redknapp would pay that much. On another note, Ignasi Miquel has left Arsenal to join Norwich - did we miss a trick there?
At Norwich he will play whereas here he would be back up - better deal for him there for all parties (maybe bar us)

@SkySportsNewsHQ: BREAKING: Tom Lawrence signs for Leicester City on four-year deal. #SSNHQ #SkyDeadlineDay
@SkySportsPeteO: Leicester City have signed Nick Powell on season-long loan from Manchester United #mufc #lcfc #skydeadlineday
Happy enough with our dealings ... would expect to see a more experienced forward come in during January window perhaps ...
My guess is that the forward situation is done now for a while unless we offload. Ulloa, Nuge, Vardy, Wood, Powell, Lawrence is fairly choc-a-block for 2 places.
Think Lawrence may have been bought for the left wing position. Schlupp looked absolutely creamed when he came off on Sunday. Replace him with the pace of Lawrence from the bench and a few right backs will feel their hamstrings.
Apparently we were the busiest club for incomings (along with Hull i think), though it hasn't felt like it. Some for development squad, some younger fringe players keeping the first team on their toes, an older experienced player with vast experience ... and Matt Upson
Heard one rumour that he is injured, and also a story going around of a training ground fracas. Didnt go to the Shrews game, but apparently he was absolute pants. Whatever is true, I think he probably needs to get his head together else he may go the way of Marshall.
He didn't look properly fit against Chelsea. Could be why he was rubbish against the Shrews (again, I didn't see it myself). Perhaps Nige has just decided he came back too early. I hope it's not a falling out.
... IMHO he wouldn't have been risked against the Shrews if not 100% fit ... why would we exacerbate a current injury to a member of the first team squad? Nige could have shoved in another academy lad if Knocky wasn't completely ready ... I'll accept that he may not have been fully fit against Everton ... but that wouldn't excuse certain aspects of the performance ... personally I got the impression that he was very very nervous in that game ... hence proligate wastage of possession ... was a bit like a rabbit in the headlights ... he needs to relax and concentrate on walking in the Pl before he learns to run ...
Lots of players come back before they 100% fit ESPECIALLY during an injury crisis. He could have been given 90 mins in an unimportant match to see how he coped. The answer was not well. That's not to say you're wrong, just throwing out possibilities, but Knocky doesn't strike me as the kind of player that suffers from nerves!
