Anyone else think that Hayes was badly missed, especially by Stephens?

i agree, i think BWP was missing Hayes as wel, there was no-one to take the sting out the game, and start bringing more of our players into play and ask Tranmere more questions, we lacked that guile Hayes seems to bring, yes he has not the greatest touch, but he is an intelligent player and for now, i'd have kermit as an impact sub.

I didn't think they were an ugly team though, first half they did everything right. Two powerful but fast strikers and they seized control of the game. The 2nd half they then made some bad tackles/fouls but the players didn't up their game enough to deserve a win. BWP I thought did ok with the chances he had and was constantly pulled back.

Too true. The games we would have lost last season we are drawing, and the games we would have drawn we are winning.
The performances will come with time and confidence. Lets just be happy that we're getting points on the board.

Stu, how did you find Stockholm mate? I have fond memories of the place, during some well needed r&r I when I was posted in Germany we went there for four days. 32 varieties of Koppaberg and some accommodating ladies later and I think it was one of the best holidays I ever had!

Kish, I am pleased you remembered my penchant for a big man - ooh matron!

But seriously, I really like Enoch. He is a good target man with good skill and scares the hell out of defenders. We have needed a Plan B this season (though thankfully not too many times) but if we had a big man up front we would have won yesterday. Teams like Tranmere need to have their own tactics shoved down their throats, but we are not set up to do.

As for slagging off BWP: what the hell? If he had put away that chance near the end, he would be a hero - again!

In the North Upper, where I have been all season, one bad game doesnt make a bad team.

Think we should keep the same team, give green another chance.
