while brady seems handy with both feet, his left is the strongest, i dont get why he plays as a right winger. its difficult for wingers playing on oppisite sides, a wingers natural instinct is to attack a full back on the outside and whip it in, always difficult to do that when its not your strongest side, obviously the bonus is cutting inside and shooting, but it does restrict the chances for quality crosses from the byeline.
Agree completely. Watched the first half on TP (still got to find time for the second) and though not to exciting thought City played some good stuff especially in the first 15 mins some of the interplay was excellent with things falling apart in the final third. However compared to Brighton it was noticeable that we playing much narrower on the left side when Pusic was out there. As an aside Theo missing your match reports. Any chance of restarting them.
Is Cam Stewart right-footed? I got the impression Brady was there (literally) to fill Cam's position. Hence, NP is always needing to fill the LEFT wing spot (instead? of the right). Is Pusic left-footed? I've a feeling he is, but never seen him play and can't remember from clips.
Brady was clearly signed as a left-winger, he played the full pre-season there and started the Blackpool game on the left too, but halfway through it became evident that he was way better on the right and it's been that way since. Like you say he is handy with both feet and IMO that's what makes him so good. He is the best winger we've had in years at getting past the fullback on the outside, but also at cutting in and whipping in those cross-shots that have become his trademark. Pusic is a left-footed left winger, he doesn't actually bring that much to the team in my opinion, but the fact he is a natural left-sided player with a decent left foot, seeming to offer us more balance is why he is in most people's XIs and I can't argue with that. Stewart is right-footed and can certainly play right wing or up front, but I don't remember seeing him play on the left, though I might be wrong. As for Brady see above. I think any 2 of them could play together and no one has to be filling in for anyone else.
Completely agree on Brady if he can manage to add more of an end product to his game he will be a different class. There are two things that are not allowing him to become a top class winger at the moment, the lack of end product at times and the fact he doesn't have a right foot to give him more options. If he had a right foot god knows how the defenders would cope. As at the moment he beats them more than they stop him its just what happens when he beats them thats the problem unfortunately.
