This coaching set up is pretentious enough to think that players can’t add value until they’ve been coached their way for a bit.

only way to find out if they are really going to make the grade, which is why i am surprised younger was allowed to leave as when he got his chance he certainly let no one down.
This is the whole issue, we are signing players who could be brilliant players in 3 year, but unfortunately we are getting them at the very very early stages of their career when inconsistency is expected

For me, Hume was the only positive from tonight. Looked good on the ball, overlapped well and most of his passes found a man in yellow. Matete had a good first half but a poor second. Batth looks like a car crash and Doyle was labouring all game. Clarke looked good in patches, but those patches were short and very far apart. Evans

Matete was another bright spot last night (apart from the second goal).
