I think we can expect to see a lot of activity on 1st July, which is when the contracts of players and coaches officially expire ...

Thete could be a press conference to unveil new players and staff on Wednesday yes.

That is an Internet rumour rather than hacks saying they'll be there for the scoops.

    Fanboy Jimmy is no more.

Just when you think Rodgers, FSG and this club could not get any more small time, they pull this one out of the hat.

So we sacked Pascoe and Marsh to bring in more top level coaches and we end up promoting an u16 coach, and hiring an ex manager who was sacked by Doncaster, Forest and Bristol City, whose CV screams 'LOSER'.

Fans want to convince me that Ings, Bogdan and Miner are good signings but they too are embarrassing, along with targeting Christian Benteke. Rodgers clearly has retained a lot of control and his people are now in place once more. Cannot see him leaving anytime soon - just a shame this club will continue to fall.

Get Rodgers out of this club, and I'm seriously questioning FSG for sanctioning such b*llocks, which is a shame because I am a big fan of what they have done but this is getting embarrassing now. Signing mid-table players, signing mid table coaches and giving Rodgers so much control - Rodgers is a cancer of this club. I've had enough.

Rene Muelensteen and Pako were practically BEGGING for jobs. Two world class coaches.

I can certainly see the likes of Coutinho, Firmino, Sakho etc looking at the coaching staff and having genuine belief in their methods and credentials. And I'm sure Rodgers will learn a lot from his number 2. <ok>

Jimmy I did say Rodgers would not want anyone who would be any threat to him.

But ffs calm down a bit.

So after finishing 2nd, we end up signing Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Ings, Bogdan and potentially Benteke, and now we have SOD as Assistant Manager.

Great time to be a Liverpool fan. <ok>

This is embarrassing mate. We spoke before about how we need to raise standards and quality levels.

This is a new low for me - SOD doesn't even have Assistant Manager experience ???

    Makes perfect sense to me.

I wonder what badges he's got.

Certainly rodgers will not be awake at night wondering......

But you know... at least England were using the guy so sure he can at least set up a training session and make the tearly.

    Chin up lads

“We need to stop blaming the players,” Rodgers said at the time. “The players get the blame in this country. No, it is the coaching. The problem is that the guys who are ’that type’ of coach you never hear of them really. Look at Sean O’Driscoll. He is one of the best coaches I have ever come across. He is working at Bristol City. He has never had a chance in the top flight. His teams were expressive, had movement, they were technical, but he will probably never get a chance at a higher level.”

Liverpool now look set to give O’Driscoll that chance, only nine months after he replaced Noel Blake as head coach of England’s Under-19s side.

O’Driscoll, who was capped by the Republic of Ireland as a player but was born in Wolverhampton, spent six years in charge of Bournemouth, five at Doncaster and also had brief spells at Crawley Town, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City before his move to the FA.

There is a reason why he hasn't had a chance at the top flight - because his record is sh*t!! Not everyone is as lucky as Rodgers to achieve nothing but still land a top flight job.

Maybe he was dealing with **** players

If his training is famously top class and he's being hired to train then what's the problem?

He's only been U19 manager for less than a year. He's been sacked 4 times in last 4 years.

He's small time - what we needed was quality, top level coaches.

So you've no idea what qualifications he's got then basically.

    Neither do I.

I suggest we go find out.

If he's not got a cert to his name fine but if he's got a pro license then what?
