Off Topic Track and Trace

So.. meant to be in the US this weekend and just got pinged by track and trace so gonna do a PCR test. It was potentially from the passenger locator form from my canaries trip.
There's a chance the email was a fake as I got no text or phone call.
Anyone on here got pinged and how were you contacted please?

Was after coming back from Italy in September. Figured it was the snooty, middle class moron sat next to my wife who made a great show of reading an Italian book (as in the words were in Italian) but hadn't learned how to put his mask on properly. Twice asked by the Hostesses to pull it up over his ugly mug.

Anyway, also figured it was from the Passenger Locator Form.

Got an email and also texted. Also got a chase up email and text as we hadn't responded fast enough. Saw the emails at the same time and the text at the same time as had gone out without my phone.

First text was at 11.41 am with chaser at 13.13 and, on checking, a third one at 13.41. All from NHS Tracing.Have deleted emails so can't remember who sent them.

Actually also thought it was a scam initially and checked by ringing someone. Can't remember who but possibly 111.

Played it safe and went up to Great Park for a drive through PCR. Also have an airport PCR sorted for tomorrow AM anyhow. That and the 5 neg lat flows I’ve done since Sunday night make me hopeful I will at least have a clear picture by Friday which is the night before I am meant to mooch to Philly.

Would fancy going to Charlottesville with its history and the surrounding area. Going to try and get across to the U S of A next year as my son has moved there. He works at the John Hopkins Hospital/University in Baltimore. Looking forward to it.

Probably won’t get hammered on a yacht beforehand though.

I just feckin tested positive.

Done 2 lateral flow tests and they've both got faint lines, wierdly felt rough yesterday but felt absolutely fine today, meh. PCR to confirm.

 

got my test back already.... negative.
Big storm on Saturday so with 40mph winds my flight to LHR to connect to Philly may now happen anyhow now... ffs.

Soft cocks - Was last flight to leave UK before Hurricane Irma hit a few years ago. They're all soft as ****. CAT 5 hurricanes over there is what we would call an autumn day at the coast here.
