Yes, agree. But the FA isn't powerful enough to make bigger changes. What Ugo said in an article the other day would be a good start. A way of "England" playing throughout the age groups. At least then the players who came through the younger set-ups would have a clue about what was going on on the pitch regardless of the set-ups they play with week-in week-out at their clubs
What was the last game that Smalling played, though? Seriously. I may have missed it, but I can't remember him kicking a ball for ages.
He played most of the Community Shield (sub for Rafael early on), but who has played much two games into the season?
Smalling is poo. He's like a worse version of Phil Jones and he doesn't even have the comedy face. Didn't Utd spend an obscene amount of money on him? Something like £13m?
Fulham cashed in, whilst Maidstone got dicked: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/8572063.stm http://www.wsc.co.uk/the-archive/26-the-strange-case-of/7625-chris-smalling
As long as he gets hacked down in the area in the previous half and only gets a free kick it'll be acceptable
My stepson brushed him aside to score in CM's non-league days...he said he was **** too. Odd hairdo aswell... please log in to view this image
