    Exactly this,

I think we should certainly be content with where we are currently, Mick has done a good job, I think we're in a decent position, our team actually look like a TEAM for the 1st time in the ME era and that's down to Micks man management skills, we have a sensible wage structure, sensible transfer policy and are investing in the academy, so we're certainly moving in the right direction, steady progress.

But I find Mick extremely frustrating and I actually think he has the ability to do better than he does. He's over cautious, doesn't take enough risks, seems to prefer to work with limited players over ones with ability. I miss the days when an Ipswich team used to try to go out and set the tempo take the initiative and try to beat the opposition by outplaying them, I think in the end if you really want to progress this is the way to do it

I think maybe if Mick had of not been as cautious as he has been we could have still been on the end of the Tonkings we recieved far to often under PJ.

Mick found Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Doyle and Matt Jarvis amongst others for that Wolves side that went up as Champions a few seasons back! They weren't defensive buys by any means. We are a similar size to Wolves with similar resources and I see no reason why Mick can not do the same thing for us given time. He has the ability to make some very shrewd signings and I think that we will evolve into a more expansive team with a few savvy additions.

Its very hard to turn things around in the championship. Quite a few teams like ourselves, Norwich, Southampton, Forest and a few others went down to League 1 and rebuilt there and turned around the negative mentality around the club

Its much easier to build there as you dont need as much quality to be successful. Its still hard but much easier then the championship.

I have no doubt give him a few seasons here and we will continue to improve and ultimitely get to the PL. I wouldn't say he's overly negative, not like Keane and his Sunderland teams and Wolves teams weren't negative they were just very workman like and limited. He spent alot of money at Wolves in the end but didn't improve the quality. It's something that most of the fans from his former club have said about him, he does the basics well, which in this league can bring success but beyond that he doesn't seem to be able to. Like I said I'm fairly content with how things stand, he's just frustrating because given the ability as a manager I think he has I think with a bit less stubborness and taking a few more risks he could've done alot better in his career and for us.

I've seen his teams play good football and thought, well why doesn't he play like that all the time because he's generally successful when he does and you see what he does with limited players so why can't he do it with more talented players
