Just banter, mate, it's what football forums are all about, you need to stop taking it so seriously, we won, didn't we? FFS
I thought banter was meant to be funny!!?? But I'll forget about that one and won't hold it against you (until I disagree with you again)!!
Great result and perhaps could signal another surge...I especially liked Mick's comments that he was pleased that the whole team in an Ipswich shirt played their hearts out for the club, the fans, and the families. Nice touch, and I bet it showed on the pitch too. McG again, very good for his confidence. Look forward to the usual summary please! Happy Townies one and all...roll on Forest Tuesday. I think we all deserne a celebration tonight!
We all know JWM is really a woman, and changes her mind a lot. <middleagemanboobs> What a tight league this year. Only 35 points seperate top from bottom in a 24 team division, compared to the 51 points of the 20 team premier league. Mick has come out and said exactly what a lot of us have been saying about more stylish football coming after we are safe. I'm sure he reads these pages. He always seems to come out and make a quote on things we've been discussing recently. He is just a smart manager who knows what to say and when is the right time to say it, according to general fan feelings at the time.
Good result for yoyu lads today (Cheers tho Im sure you didnt do it for me ) Hows McLean doing for you, if its anything like he did for us, lots of effort and good at keeping morale uo in the dressing room but not enough goals
**** off you bunch of ****s! I never said we would get relegated I was just wondering if a season in League 1 would be all that bad!
Loved Mick's take on a couple of incidents. ------------------------------------------------- Asked about the incidents leading up to the goal, McCarthy said: “I think first and foremost he (Morgan) blocked Chopra by running across the front of him and then there was a tangle of legs. Whether Chops caught him or not I don’t know. “That upset the apple cart a bit. I think Chops jumped up with his arms a it at a corner kick, but didn’t make any contact (there was also a coming to with Murphy). “That would be the last of my worries if I was playing against Chops though. I’d be kicking the ***** out of him and be making sure he didn’t put the ball in the net. “It got a little bit fractious. There were pushes in both boxes, I’m screaming for fouls, he (Nigel Pearson) is screaming for fouls, there are words between us. “As a centre-half you have to keep your composure – because that’s what people do. As a centre-half I went out with sole intention to upset the two ******* I was up against, or anyone who came anywhere near me. “I played against Mick Harford and Tony Cunningham. Their intention was smash me across the nose and upset me. “It’s the one that gets upset less. He (Morgan) did and he made a mistake. When all that’s going on just boot it out and get a clean sheet. “I’ve got sympathy with Nigel (Pearson) but I’ve got no sympathy with the player. If it was my centre-half, I’d be telling them ‘you let them upset you’. A little **** upset you and it’s cost us the game. That is what happened.” -------------------------------------------- now that's straight talking
