Poor result and not very encouraging for the league campaign.

First half we played at a good pace with some nice passing and movement and we looked like a team that has actually been coached in a certain style. Dozzell was the playmaker, based in the centre circle he was always available and made some great passes forward. Arsenal were technically sound and they were comfortable in possession without being too threatening. It looked like a men v boys training match for the most part.

Second half was completely different. Arsenal were positive and forward thinking, Ipswich were lethargic and looked like the team of last season. I've said it so many times recently but there is no energy in the team, no urgency.

They’ve played two competitive matches in the space of about 72 hours on the back of six months with no football. I hear we’ve lost Ndaba. Smacks of last season’s ridiculous international postponements. Get so much right but lacking common sense.
