See what you're seeing regarding Barnsley not moving, their call.

However, a poster above stated it's more than just football reasons this. Team bonding etc. Shouldn't cost a fortune. I guess we'll have to see how it pans out really!

Hope the players enjoy / behave themselves, and lets get some points at Oakwell. I don't know why, but I always fear a defeat there. Strong home side usually Barnsley.

I remember going on a Tuesday night. We went 1-0 up early, playing good footy and looked well on course for 3 points. No, can't be that easy being an Ipswich fan. Ended up 4-1, with some LOVELY goalkeeping by Bywater. I certainly don't miss that clown!

That Barnsley match was my 4th ever away match! me and my brother got there early, got caught in a downpour -which is the understatement of the century - outside the stadium. Suffered through that second half then got lost on the way back to Wales and I managed to direct my brother over the top of a hill during a blizzard, and lightning storm. All in all wasn't a great day. Probably contributes to my reservations about the players being in the sun :)

But I shall be there on Saturday. Hopefully that memory will be replaced with a better one.

I hope so, hope you enjoy it!

I remember the 5-2 win on Sky the other year, what a game that was. Was pre drinking at a friends before a night out in Bath, getting a lot of stick at half time of course. He wasn't laughing come full time!

How many are we likely to take away? I'd like to think we could perhaps take over 750 for this one. Sure, it's a long way etc, however we're only four points off so would be nice if people attend.

Funny how some grounds we just don't take many away. If this was Sheffield Wednesday for example, I'd imagine we would take 1500 plus for this game.

Mike I think the benefit the team gains in spirit and unity will out weigh any negative effects, this little team building trip could boost them for the remainder of the season.

I think it's a good thing.....win,lose or draw on Saturday...

I have to say that I can see no potential negative effect from this trip, it would probably have taken them longer to get to PNE the other week than it will to get to Portugal.!
