Aye I probably have a few year on you mate! I remember when there was a pub at the bottom of Meredith Road called the Safe Harbour! It was a right old Dive but then they turned it into an Aldis!
I'm trying to remember the name of the pub that was on the corner of where the buttermarket is now. Opposite side of the street from the bus depot on Buttermarket . Used to have pinball tables in the back, or maybe it was a cafe. I was young.
Just scrolling thru those pictures and the one of the Albion was that mr and mrs plum and a young master plum on the right. !!!
jesus christ warky! the thomas eldred! We played them at darts years back, we won the first leg 9-0 and turned up for the second leg and their captain told us we wouldn't get out alive if we didn't let them win a game. so we won 8-1! we were 8-0 up, but then in the other room some bloke was getting smacked by a pool cue so we thought better lose one!
You must remember Guru that us Whittion and Castle Hills lads don't take too kindly to blokes from the sticks coming to turn us over!
