You really are a joke, you post a link to an article by Brian Klug and obviously never read it because it proved that everything Supers said was correct, even trying to save money by not buying the app! The more you wriggle, the bigger twat you look!
Please quote in the report where we had to buy the app? It has now been provided by the premier league, not purchased from the premier league. Also, how does the auditors say we operate? Also, what does klug say would have happened if we were a premier league club? Poor old dave, made fool of again by supers.
Careful David you are a welcome guest on our board but insulting people is a bit beyond the pale. If you wish to participate further with this discussion then please act in a more civilised manner there's a good chap.
My comments were mild compared to several I've received from you two over the years! Guru has just made another erroneous claim about the Klug report! I'll leave you in peace now, pointless talking to people who don't know what they're talking about!
"you've not been screwed over by scudamore - you've screwed yourselves over by not fully committing to the category one proposal on two occasions. whether that be because you were trying to spend as little as possible and scrape in (most likely) or whether you just basically misjudged the whole operation (unlikely as auditors keep you updated with where you stand), its a total c**k up that many of your fans have donated their own money towards." that was my opening gambit on this thread. if anybody is able to point out where i have been proven wrong i would be very grateful. ps. guru, you DID need to OWN the app. klug has admitted you tried to come up with your own app instead and when this wasn't acceptable your club chose to wait for a freebie instead of paying for one, therefore knowing you wouldn't have it in time and running the risk of failing in that department. klug has said you balls'd up on the app so why are you disputing it?
Supers, it was the assumption we've spent as little as possible to scrape in. It was productivity that dragged us .3% below the required mark, the other 10 factors averaged at 89, which hardly signals a lack of investment. But yes, a little bit more investment and paying for the app would probably have made up the difference, and that undeniably is a balls up. But, if there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding of how much 'productivity' would drag us down by that suggested we would make the 75%, why pay for something that would be provided for free once promotion is achieved? What's frustrating from my point of view about the productivity score is the commitment the club has made to have 50% of the first team made up of youth products in the next 4/5 seasons. Being denied an 'official' cat. 1 academy (everything but productivity is 89%) puts a barrier in the way that is counter productive. After all the FA wants to remove all barriers to youth progression do they not?
fair enough mike, but you can quite clearly see that my opening para contains two scenarios - you all chose to read the one about lack of finance. it was conjecture on my part. what i stated as fact has been proven as fact. as you say, if the club was told that productivity would harm their chances to the extent which is now clear then purchasing the app would have been futile but to be fair, i didn't know that at the time i posted.
Thanks for reiterating what I was trying to get across a few posts back Mike. If we are to fulfill that target of 50% then Mick has to use the academy players more than he has been. Would the app really have made a difference if we fell short due to lack of minutes played by our young players?
http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/25470/u18s-win-at-arsenal Oh no!!!!!!!!! not having cat1 has destroyed us!
It was always going to be a huge effort to get cat 1, klug himself said that we have to be exceptional in every other area to make up the difference, and to only miss out by 0.3% shows that we have a great set up and great coaches. As for this app, its just data collating. Klug said that it was geared to what you can do infront of a computer screen rather than what you can do on the training pitch, call me old fashioned but i would much rather have a decent coach than some geek teaching our kids to play football. for all the norwich boys taking the piss, The positives far outweigh any negatives in all of this.
whereas having a go at a team about a friendly is really mature is it? we're rivals - if we do something stupid you have a go - if you screw up we have a pop. that's how it works, isn't it?
that's true. seriously though, if you think i'm a stalker bigal you should check out how many posts guru and warky have between them on the norwich board. they post more on there than they do on here! but at least my posts on here have some relevance to your discussions, unlike the aforementioned anyway, apparently we're beating ogc nice 4-1 at half time. typical i'm stuck working late and miss all the goals. well, i assume we're playing ogc nice. not always easy to tell these days...
