The corner is low and flicked towards goal. Via a couple of deflections, Phillips makes a good save.

Nice ball out to the left from Daniel to Harriott, but he blazes a shot over the bar.

 

Free-kick out on the right for Sint-Truiden is glanced wide of Phillips' right-hand post.

 

Cross from Harriott, Vetokele goes in low and collides with the keeper. Both receiving treatment, and it appears Sint-Truiden's physio is wearing chinos.

Half-time 0-0. It is all St Truiden so Bikey and Gomez have plenty of opportunity to shine and Phillips plenty of opportunity to look shaky.

But one incident shows why we should not sign Bikey. On the one occasion a forward had a chance to run at him, he went past Bikey as if he didn't exist. The fat guy can still head, tackle, and block with the best but he can no longer run. Makes Llera look like Usain Bolt.

Parzyszek has only had one chance, a good through ball from Harriott, and let the ball bounce off him five yards ahead.

Kadell Daniel has looked as good as anyone (playing RM, curiously), but I suppose he has more incentive to impress as he must be hanging on to a squad place by his fingertips and facing the prospect of a loan to a lower division club.

Sorry to see Wilson still stuck at RB but I suppose they are nursing Solly along carefully. Had we not been in trouble at the end of last season I suppose he would have been wrapped in cotton wool until the new season.

Overall we are dreadful, but it is a random team selection and very early in our training, so no conclusions yet.

 

We're off again. One change for Sint-Truiden. Buyens, Cywka and Fox are on for us (I think)
