They now estimate that 1.5m people lined the route, 300k up on the pre-race estimate. It's also estimated that Yorkshire got £20m worth of international advertising from hosting the event. I think it's been great for the region, though I was disappointed with the TV coverage here, not much of it was actually shown live(I couldn't understand why when Stage 2 was being raced, Sky were showing a re-run of Stage 1).
