I agree (or you agree) on some things and disagree on others - I never have a problem with your opinions, I just feel you try and ram them down peoples throats too much at times and fail to respect others when they differ but that's just my opinion <ok>.

Back on the subject of Diouf I think you will see that I was actually one of the first to come out and say I feel he would be a good signing and I even asked the question here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/160662-El-Hadji-Diouf

After watching him yesterday his lack of pace alarmed me, I wouldn't mind him getting a one year contract however he isn't the answer to everything, his flair stood out simply because we lack any. I think he offers us something different but I wouldn't place him on a pedestal or anything and personally I would describe Diouf's performance yesterday as above average, certainly nowhere near brilliant.

I also agree with Josh he is certainly carrying too much weight and he reminds me of a slow trundling HGV truck. Once players realise they don't need to put a foot in from behind because he has the pace of a snail things will be different, he partly looked good because he drew in tackles and fell over a little too easy.

Yes and No mate, we did turn it on a few times last season and we certainly failed to show up far too many times. First game of the season, overall very happy but not under any illusions that this squad is not the finished article that will earn us promotion. I just hope NW can get those 2-3 players in that we desperately need. Look at what we did to Hull at home last season and the what the likes of Forest did to us.

It was obvious yesterday that the score lines are going to be a lot closer this season, it was a typical NW team performance and I guess we could say that is why Leeds have brought him in.

yeah I guess, forgot about the Hull game if I'm honest, it just becomes a blur in the midst of 5-0/6-4/7-3/4-0 defeats! Still, I'd rather take a Warnock performance every week then one awesome performance every 10, with the other 9 being dire defeats.

Mmmm are you forgetting that the 7-3 defeat was a Warnock performance?

Even Warnock admitted he did not know how fit Diouf was in his after-match interview. But hewas head and shoulders above everyone else. He didn't lose the ball once from what I remember - give him the ball, he is strong, he has great first touch and ball control, he rocks his body so he is able to smoothly glide away from a close opponent and suddenly he is in space, he has total composure on the ball and does not panic, he finds a man with every ball or he wins a free kick.

In terms of pace, I'd say he was equivalent to Snoddy on a good day, and as such, he will only get better. He offered much much more from my eyes - although I have not seen any highlights or replays - than the assessment above. I think he will be a major asset and brings that little extra that we currently don't have.

But I agree he is unfit, and needs to lose weight.

I see it differently - I debate using reasoning and others just tell me I'm a twat or get very heated. All I put across is my opinion, sometimes wihtin a foundation of fact. <ok>

You were one of the first to look at the possibility of signing Diouf as a positive <applause>

To my eyes, he showed the class and potential - if he loses weight and gains fitness - to be our Cantona this season. In his pomp, I would class him up there with Eric; at the moment he has a fair way to go, but he could be that catalyst

[Bring on the "You talk ****", "WTF, comparing Diouf to Cantona" brigade, rather than seeing the concept]

The interview Warnock gave implied Diouf is actually brilliant in the dressing room. Seems he's only a twat to opposition.

No. You're entitled to your opinions. It's your written communication style that makes you a grade A card carrying "difficult person to deal with".

You are sanctimonious, you speak down to people constantly, you are incapable of understanding the viewpoints of others, and you do not absorb a word of what anybody writes unless you have decided in advance that you agree with it. I think it's fairly obvious that you've decided you're the most intelligent person round here and decided to treat everyone else accordingly. Oh, and you're not by the way. Not by a country mile.

So fine, - it may all appear to be "debate" when viewed from inside your head. That's not how it come across to other people unfortunately.

Don't bother responding. It won't be worth reading because you haven't taken in a bloody word of this post, have you?

Have to agree with this, whether you mean to or not, whether you give a toss of not it is certainly how you project yourself as far as I am concerned. Not that I wish to start a long debate about it, JMHO <ok>

There you go. I write a humble couple of lines and you come out with a ****ing boring essay.

I've completely taken in your full (boring) tirade, but you could accept that different people have different ways of doing things and instead of looking at the method, why not look at the message?

You remind me of dickheads in the civil service who won't speak to, or take anyone seriously, unless they are wearing a suit and a bowler hat, or are a certain grade. Except you dumb things down to the lowest common denominator instead of cliquey snobbishness, KB.

Other than that, I do enjoy your attempts (howvere failing) at interacting on a human level rather than pretending to be a fat, old, grey haired ****. Keep it up, it's much more entertaining. <ok>

Looking forward to your next contribution; maybe you could talk about football instead of acting like a fat, old, grey-haired ****?

true, I was referring to your comment about the wolves game being a 'typical Warnock team performance' - i'd take one of those every week. the 7-3 wasn't a Warnock team at all, it was a dire squad that Grayson had jumbled together.

Yeah. Really humble that. Well done.

And you just proved me right. I said you were entitled to your opinions and you respond with a bunch of drivel about looking at the message rather than the method. You didn't read what I wrote. Because you're incapable of actually understanding anything other than your own (fixed) viewpoint.

I'd love to get back to what I do best, but you're the biggest irritant on here since clivetime, and it's bloody annoying.

How about this for once - talk about football instead of acting like a boring fat, old, grey-haired ****?

yeah, even if the takeover doesn't go through, if we're in touching distance of the play offs come january, i'd like to think Bates would put his hand in his pocket...then again, it is Bates. Still think we're probably 3/4 players short of a proper challenge.

Is that what passes for "debate" in your tiny stunted bonce? Or have you worked it out now?

**** off you abrasive ****. I'm sick of reading your crap on here. Find someone else to try and irritate.

You can tell diouf has played at the highest level. When everyone else (mainly varney) was panicking towards the end, diouf showed composure to just hold the ball up and keep possession, even if that did mean he had to go back to the keeper. And whats the problem with that if we retain the ball and uour lead? For those wanting to see him fly past defenders id suggest that would be more likely to happen if we were more in need of a goal.

Varney has also played at the highest level if we are talking Premiership, I was amazed at how much Varney has fetched in combined transfer fee's, in the region of £4.5M. When you read his profile on Wiki he has had some glowing references, I hope he can show us some of that value in the near future.

Not a chance will anyone ever see Diouf fly past defenders unless they had one leg or were on crutches. He makes Snoddy look like Usain Bolt
