Not sure Nels could have done an awful lot with any of the goals really apart from the last one. Perhaps a younger keeper may have got to the 1st goal but i'm not even convinced that Bond with all of his ability would have got there.

Think the main problem on Wednesday was the midfield. On far too many occasions were Josh Wright and Mark Byrne sitting off players like Eriksen & Lamela and when you give those types of players enough room, they're going to hurt you and they did. Poor old Paddy once again played in another position he's unfamiliar to and at least he tried. JET needs to work for the team, otherwise no point in him playing. When Wagstaff came on he at least showed some enthusiasm to want the ball and run with it. Cody had nothing to work with at all so was left isolated up front despite how hard he ran.

Won't talk about the defence too much but something has happened to Jackson because that's not the same confident defender from last season.

On another note, thoroughly enjoyable day frequenting some of the finest drinking establishments along the Victoria line with good friends. As for us fans, for 3000 Gills to outing 30,000 Tottenham fans I think we deserve lots of credit. Even if a certain manager didn't come over and clap us.
