Gills PegLeg, I still remember freezing my balls off on a winters night not that many season's back in League Two with only 3k in attendance, we've nearly sold half that amount for an away game
I'm feeling a bit hopeful about getting a ticket now. I would have thought the season ticket hoders would have got there's as soon as possible and if so that leaves pretty much a 1000 for general sale to those on the mailing list next week
1600 has now been confirmed sold by the club's twitter account so sales are dropping. Would imagine a few will go on Saturday but there will probably be about a 1000 left for non season ticket holders next week.
1800 sold at close of play on Saturday. Probably going to be between 800 and 1000 tickets left for general sale which I imagine a lot will go on Wednesday.
It's Wednesday today... yes, and tomorrow is Thursday... but hopefully by then I will know if I have tickets or not... otherwise it's home end for me
brb I'm going to send you a personal wednesday greeting by PM -- I daren't post it here - I'd get banned !
Final 1000 tickets went by 2.30 today. Lucky enough to have a ticket now but feel for anybody who had planned on purchasing one this afternoon.
I'm lucky to have a ticket as well thanks to my friend - i just hope that any one that really wanted one got what they wanted, hate seeing genuine fans miss out. Also I want to say a very big public thank you to the people that offered to get me a ticket too.
Harry Kane suffered ankle ligament damage today against Sunderland so at least our leaky defence won't have to worry about England's best striker on Wednesday anyway. Just the rest of the Spurs team to worry about now.
Brilliant day and we only lost 5-0 JET was about as much use as a pony, a giant Joe Kuffour and about as much lazy ability as the human body could muster....please send him back to QPR or where ever it was he came from. On the goal keeper front it was Bond 0-5 Nelson but he's still supposedly Englands number one and he showed his class by saving one! I noted Cody added to his usual super striker tally...all hail the Mc...did i mention I'm hungry. Josh who? Knott comes on and takes a corner which had about as much flair as JET trying to break out into another step. Jeez is Scally still dreaming of the Prem and a new ground But other than that it was a brilliant day frequenting London's finest brewers (no pun intended...much) Oh btw JE if you want me to pay your toll back to Wales please give me a shout, but like the tolls it's only a one way ticket. Angry Camels on Tour x
What a poor effort from Gills apart from Bond the keeper we were truly worthless against a weeken Spurs team. Edinburgh really needs to look at this team because we were toothless and lucky they did not get double digits.Men against boys, except half of them were spurs boys. .Not one decent shot the whole match. I would like some of the youngsters given a chance like Okamar List and a new full back who acually can play there. Maybe bring Hessy back because midfield was awful. Never play Jet Cody and Dack in the same line up again.
In my 43rd season of following the Gills now, so like many on here I've seen my fair share on tonkings when we've just 'failed to turn up'. Failing to 'turn up' on a big occasion like last night though is unforgivable. Don't get me wrong - Spurs 2nd 11 were fantastic and gave us a lesson in athleticism, skill on the ball, vision to move and pass into space etc. All the areas you would expect us to be outclassed. In different circumstances they would have been a joy to watch. What left me bewildered - and led to my early exit at 3-0, straight after Dack put that free kick into the wall - is that we didn't at least match them for desire. 3,000 in the away section were forced to admire Spurs, we didn't need 11 more from Gillingham doing it on the pitch. As much as I respect Nelson for his past contributions and for his efforts to connect with us, I fear he will always now be a liability between the sticks. Like many, I do question whether there's an eyesight issue. Anything on target from outside the box is a goal now it seems. It's like we've got Lance 'if it's on target it's in' Cronin back. Hopefully Bond will be fit for Saturday. With Coventry being bottom and the only winless side in the division, the script is perfectly written for them to complete our miserable week. The silver lining to this weekend's almost inevitable defeat will hopefully be Mr Edinburgh packing up his office on Sunday morning.
