To be fair, anyone who doesn't want Toby would be pretty stupid. There will certainly be an interest for him from all sides, we can only hope he'll choose us.
Indeed. However it is typical of Spurs NOT to do their own homework, but to cherry pick whoever they can. I would laugh so hard if any respected professional or pundit would comment on the point and wonder if joining Spurs might be a step down, rather than up.
Whenever we sign a player, we should put a clause in the contract...
"Will not play for Liverpool or Spurs within 5 years of departure from SFC"
"Will not play for Liverpool or Spurs within 5 years of departure from SFC"
If Toby decides to sign for someone else it will be for a top team who will challenge for major honours..........so not going to spurs.
Toby is easily good enough to play for a top four team, why would he want to drop down to Spurs who aren't even a top payer either?
I doubt Toby is terribly settled, nor looking pensively at Spurs. His time with Saints will be up soon enough, but he'll have bigger teams courting him.
Agree with that. If he doesn't sign for us because he loves us so much (please, please), he will go to a top club.
