Tottenham want Paul Mitchell - Head of Recruitment

Amusing comment on one of the Spurs forums today about the pitch invasion last night....

How on earth can our security be that bad. I blame baldini. Levy needs to go back to Southampton and get their stewards and security.

 

Pochettino says he did not choose Mitchell to come to Spurs. Pochettino said it was all down to the club.

 

Didn't see that coming. He fallen out with Levy?

 

The curse of the deserters continues.

 

So when our club says it's not so much to do with the personnel, but more to do with the structure and systems in place, we've got to take their word for it.

I see that "boast" from the club here and there and I sometimes think it's a little far fetched, even though I'm a believer. But this sort thing just demonstrates the validity of what they're saying time and again.

Tottenham Hotspur’s key head of recruitment, Paul Mitchell, brought in from Southampton at some expense in 2012, has handed in his resignation at the club with 22 days of the August transfer window left.

Telegraph Sport understands that the club’s head of player identification, Rob Mackenzie, brought from Leicester City in February 2015 has also left Spurs, in his case for Derby County. He worked closely with Mitchell on scouting and profiling potential targets and was another major part of Mauricio Pochettino’s operation.

The decision of Mitchell will once again call into question the role of chairman Daniel Levy among Spurs fans, amid claims the pair had fallen out and were barely on speaking terms.

No chance unfortunately. He'll be there for a while yet. Him and the slippery **** Levy are made for each other.

 

Is it just me that actually quite likes MoPo. I can't stand Spurs but since he's been there i my feelings of hatred towards them have slightly softened.

 

Unless Levy sacks him for not making top 4 this season....

 

I respect him, he's an excellent coach. But I don't like him, & I really don't like spurs. I never have, even though my ex and one of my best mates are spurs fans.

 

If I discovered a partner of mine was a Spurs fan she would quickly become an ex as well. How could you rely on someone with such poor judgement.
