What a disappointment this season has been for Gomes. He must be so low at the way his time with the club has ended. He has gone from being the number one choice and a popular figure with the fans, to number 3 choice and the subject of the fans' jokes, and also rarely getting a game this season.

It just goes to show how fortunes can quickly change in football, and although I was never convinced by him, I hope where ever he ends up next seaso, he gets his form back and goes back to enjoying his football again.

Yep, I agree with all of that, SC.

I still like Gomes. Immense shot stopper on his day, but his mistakes became too costly for the confidence of our defence.
I can't help thinking that he'd be more suited to playing in a league where the keepers aren't targeted physically as often.
Good luck to him, when he goes.

    Maybe Spain, Dona?
De Gea struggled with the same problems when Man Utd signed him.
