Our front two have been relatively anonymous, due to a complete lack of service. We've got wide men who can deliver decent balls, but we don't have strikers that thrive on that sort of delivery.
I refer the Honourable Gentleman to the comments I made a couple of days ago... Krancjar is unfortunately now a liability
Kranjcar can't play deep like Modric or Huddlestone can. Maybe try a midfield diamond? (Or, you know, bring on Modric or Livermore...)
He doesn't play often, then he's moved around all over the place when he is used. He's bound to be a bit rusty. We don't rotate enough, have no reserve football and then bemoan the form of those that come in when they're required.
the defoes gone missing comment reminded me of a match I went to in the early 90s ... Some bloke near by me was slating Nayim who then scored a corker, he then laid into Paul Stewart who then scored and after he slagged off lineaker who then scored he finally realised he was being a bit of a twat....still makes me smile...more than this sodding performance is!
Whilst I agree with this, Kranjcar does have the issue that he isn't a like-for-like replacement for anyone. He can't play the deep playmaker like Modric or Huddlestone as he lacks their workrate (and isn't as reliable defensively), he isn't an out-and-out winger like Lennon or Bale - whilst we haven't tried him as VDV's understudy. I'm not writing him off, as he does have a lot of ability and a good shot, but he doesn't slot directly into our team to the system needs adjustment when he's in it. Of course, being able to change our system as needs dictate is something we need to consider - and, no, I don;t mean that's an excuse to try that ludicrous wing back system we tried at Stevenage...
The BBC tracker is at least five minutes behind the action - another reason to demand my £145.50 back...
