From my perch at Wembley last night and having slept on it.... the result was never in doubt even at 1-0. I didn't think we were either mentally or physically tough enough last night. Bullied all over the park, RP, WH, GD in particular. Thought Danny Rose was excellent for spuds. Odd sub throwing Young Ben into this one, bit of a baptism of fire. I also thought spuds should have had a penalty?? That aside I thought the officiating was an object lesson in how to influence a match without doing anything controversial. Even if we were good enough on the night (we obviously weren't) we wouldn't be allowed to win this fixture anyway. Very few positives to come out of this except that the goal difference suffered only minimal damage.

Saw that the sky ref thinks Rose should have been sent off.

Another failed attempt at humour on my part, time to retire ?
Clifford Holton didnt run around a lot from memory, but got the impression he was the Boss, maybe Mr Deeney just thinks he is.
CH was such a big presence though, never quite understood why he didnt have more of an impact at Arsenal

I think that it was because he was only a part time player, and wanted to concentrate on his engineering business. Watford suited him, especially when he effectively ran the club.

This is the tackle under discussion. Rose didn't get the ball. Two feet off the ground with studs showing.

On that still it is a red card all day long. No control there.
