No i agree but I feel as though football rules are bent way too often depending on the circumstance. When it should really be black and white. That was a handball used to try and score. I.e cheating. If it hadn't been whistled the goal would have stood. It's a bit like not giving a red card to a keeper who trips a player one on one just because ref has given a penalty. It should be penalty + red card every time.
You say that, but how often do you play 120 minutes? Players' bodies are probably used to 90 every week, so they do feel tiredness much more with an extra half hour.
I know for a fact that players are conditioned for 120 minutes. I get that they are tired, but people are worried about their recovery before Saturday, it won't be too much different.
The issue isn't whether they can play 120 minutes its whether they can play 90 minutes again on Saturday to the best of their ability to get a win that we need.
I just feel like we've done well up until now. If we go out it doesn't bother me at all so penalties wouldn't feel that stressful to me.
