"Deliberate" is irrelevant because it can never be known for certain if the player deliberately does something. That is why in the "Hand Ball" rule other factors such as what the ref judges it by, like the natural position of the arms and distance from the ball are now what the ref looks at.
The rulebook also states crazy **** like 'there is no limit to the number of players who may contest a drop-ball', but referees take it upon themselves to ignore this and book even players who adhere to it.
My stream keeps freezing. Can anyone tell me if that was what it looked like? Spurs using the long throw?!?!
Lets be honest, maybe the 4th official saw a replay of that 'dive' and told the big I am he got it wrong, it wouldn't have been fair to send him walking for a second yellow when he shouldn't have had the first.
What a strike from the lad! Annoying that our lads are going to have to play another 30 minutes. Meyler is always knackered by now (but at least he won't have to start on Saturday), while Boyd (my MoM so far) has covered a huge area, as has Quinn.
meyler has done pretty well no? I've only seen last 30 mins. Proschwitz has looked good to me. You can tell his technique is far superior than our other strikers (bar aluko) but he seems stronger as well. I really would like to see Aluko/ Prozzy combo up front sometimes.
Really? Thought he was poor from the minute he came on struggled to hold the ball up, not brought many into play. Hasn't pressed up on the Spurs defence enough. Then again i'd fancy him to score if he was given a chance in the box.
