3-1. Holtby. Townsend broke down the left and then tried to beat everyone, laid it off, Capoue beat his man, laid it off and Holtby placed it past Gordon. Seems like we can score when we can be bothered to.
Lamela and Eriksen talking for a while, and Eriksen pointing to the left of the field. I've noticed the left of the box is the favorite spot for both. We'll take turns, and cover for each other, he could be saying. Or, check out that blonde behind the post. Teemu Seeke goes off to warm applause from the hometown fan. I was about to say, Ade looks like a man recovering from a serious illness. Then he had his first decent touch in four.
Rose, Adebayor, Bentaleb, Lennon, Lamela, Eriksen and Adebayor on at HT. Kaboul, Fryers and Capoue have stayed on, but I'm not sure who else.
It's hard to evaluate our pressing game, when Celtic have had about 3 touches in this half. Not enough penetration from us, despite utterly dominating possession and territory.
Predictably, this group, where the attackers are prospective starters and/or rusty, is playing at a more leisurely pace. If I were Poch, I'd say, give me that Holtby fellow. And Lamela. 4-1. The opposition has been poor, and who knows how we'll do this year, but we've got an impressively talented collection of players. A drinks break to relieve the tropical heat of Finland, and not a moment too soon.
The second half line-up is Friedel; Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Rose; Bentaleb, Capoue; Lennon, Eriksen, Lamela; Adebayor
4-1. Lamela strolls in from the right and his shot is wickedly deflected past Gordon, who went the wrong way. Might've beaten him anyway and it was off the arm of the defender, but still.
Rose seems to be getting very central in a lot of our pre-season games. He does so again with a blocked shot, winning the rebound and playing it out to Adebayor, who misses badly.
Sandro replaces Capoue and gets a big round of applause from the Spurs fans in attendance. Then we immediately have another drinks break! Ludicrous. Fredericks on for Naughton.
Ambrose hasn't learned from his sending off in the CL the other day, as he takes out Adebayor when he's clean through on goal. Probably would've gone in a proper game, but he's only got a booking today.
Ade scythed down. That's not very friendly. Bale, I mean Eriksen, whips in another free kick. You can see why Chicago's similarly outmatched players went Stokey on us. "Are you Brazil in disguise?"
Lovely bit of passing involving a number of players down the left, then worked into the centre and Adebayor hits the base of the post. Very unlucky not to make it six.
Ambrose ballses it up again, taking out Rose in the box. Little kick, then a pull and he's down. Adebayor puts it in, though he does hit the post again, with the ball settling in the opposite corner.
Celtic getting a bit frustrated and making a few late challenges. Ambrose has either been subbed off or sent off, though he didn't even make a foul this time, as far as I can see. Weird.
Ambrose was sent off for a tackle that was so late that the cameras missed it, apparently! Awful defender.
