Good shout, David Pleat seems to pick our managers, DOF's and players so we may aswell bring back one of his earlier finds.
 
I don't think we need any freebies, our yoofs are probably better.

But if we did we should go purely for looks and get Earnshaw
 
Benny doesn't appear in the alphabetical-order list on the OS. Couldn't see any list of squad numbers. But the site doesn't seem very mobile-friendly so I might be missing something.
 
Looks like we've only got 23 senior players and seven are homegrown, so we've got space for one more foreigner.
How about Ronaldinho, who's been offered a contract by Basingstoke Town?
 
Assuming the wages were not stupid, I would sign Ronaldinho solely for the PR and the feel
good factor he would bring to the club. If he had a second wind like Davids did, even better.

I'm not suggesting that we will or could sign any of these players, by the way, for those out there who lack a sense of humour.
