I asked an evertonian I know, he is a big guy but may not be big enough to pass off for several million everton fans but as HBIC has linked, you can also take a look at an everton forum http://www.evertonfc.com/forum/discussion/10202/rodwell-bid-accepted
Not surprised that they're fairly pleased. He hasn't really progressed much since he broke into the team and £20mill is about 6 players to them. Still a good player and I hope he gets his chances at City and isn't marginalised.
Don't worry guys we've finally made a bid for someone. Apparently it's Rennes Yann M'Vila, the central midfielder - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/7985351/Rennes-claim-M-Vila-bid Seriously, someone at ENIC is a bloody good WUM.
if we had a policy of 'throw enough **** and some will stick' then we would also be up there with them.
Wenger distanced himself from M'Vila some weeks ago when Diaby returned to training - plus Wilshere isn't far away. I hope it's not us - surely it can't be?
Parker, Sandro, Livermore, Luongo - four reasons we shouldn't be looking to sign him. Odds are we're being used as a name to force the hand of another club, or we're planning on replacing Parker...even though STRIKERS are what we need.
If we had owners who were prepared to back their club like RA and Mansour do, then we could follow their tactic, unfortunately we have ENIC who throw little money around, comparatively. Chelsea have blown us out of the water over the last 10 years, mainly because of RA.
With the generous ENIC we have won nothing of merit. Fallen as one of giants of the English game. I and many more can,t wait another 20 years for an FA cup final, Euro honour. We have spent a net of 6 million in the last 6 transfer windows. We only spend big if threatened by regulation. No wonder we can never keep our best players long term. Small club mentality. Many of us want change of direction because I don,t support perfect bookkeeping. My Spurs was about glory.
Being younger, my Spurs was never about glory We weren't exactly swimming in trophies under Sugar either so lets not pretend ENIC have taken us backwards. We were a midtable club and now we're back in Europe regularly under ENIC. At the end of the day, whether you just want us to spend big on the odd one or two players from time to time or whether you want us to go all out and be another money club that's always spending loads no matter what, you should still recognise that ENIC have improved us. In terms of dividends they haven't made an awful lot while they've been here, they've made their money by reinvesting in the club through building excellent new training facilities, raising the wage bill to keep as many of our best players as we can, which is a lot better than a lot of other clubs have done. English football is very different now, if you want a constant stream of trophies then you'll have to start supporting a club that's bankrolled by a billionaire or relies on having a 300 million out in the far east for income, if you want just a few trophies every now and then, we all do but you have to recognise that there's 2 major domestic trophies a year to be won and there's 4 other clubs in England who spend over £100mill a year more than us. You want ENIC to start spending to match them? Well they don't because it doesn't make sense to unless you're a die hard Spurs fan but if you ever do win the Euromillions I'm sure they'll happily spend the £30mill you donate to the club.
According to the Fail we have agreed a fee of 25mil for rat boy, however they report that the deal wont be finalised until we sign a replacement .
Saw that from the Fail and although I always hesitate to instantly dismiss speculation from them I certainly came close. I seriously doubt we'd accept that sum considering that we've already rejected a bigger offer.
