Not kean on Lloris, he's a bit of a vampire (doesn't like crosses). The young German Keeper (Marc andre Ter Stegen...Spelling?)at Borussia Monchengladbach would be cheaper and better. Give him a 6 year contract with a £50M buy out clause and we would be sorted.
Not a fan of Lloris either, I just meant if we're able to sign him we might also be able to sign some of their other players. Never heard of that other keeper but Germany seems to be where it's at for young talent these days. I like the vampire line, not heard it before
I think Alan Partridge said similar about Alan Hansen being Satan - he's red, wears number six, is afraid of crosses.
I think Modric owes Spurs and their fans a season to make up for some of his perfomances last season....an all out season too! Some other players owe their fans also.......
Roo...was wondering where you had got to...your the only one who knows what others dont on our potential purchases This Astu guy is who we need then do we im running on empty when it comes to transfer speculation...just waiting for the season to kick off now.....there is this lad at Valencia...Argentinian... this Erikson is overated...and Oscar for 25 million...Chelsea are so daft when it comes to spending money that i have actually got my own room at the cok clinic...laughing mine off so frequently thanks to them...
Best young goalkeeper on FM 12 that guy and in real life arguably single handedly kept his team in the top league the season before last and helped them to a CL finish last time out!
i know, I've missed it! just haven't had chance. going to be difficult over the next week or two, too. by the way, reports are suggesting that Nuri Sahin is on his way to england for a season long loan, but no one knows who to. suggested clubs are arsenal, united and us! bet it's the goons, however if Modric is going to real, it would make sense for it to be us! not another bloody loan! we need stability! i see Damaio scored again last night. why didn't we just pay the money for him? we desperately need someone like him and I feel we've missed the boat now.
Hoiletts signed for QPR. Another one bites* the dust. We need to move soon, the weeks are flying by and the season will be here before we know it. I honestly thought we'd be taking care of our business early on, in preparation for the start of the season. No doubt we'll be scrapping on August 31st!
Blame the Modric saga! Here's a prediction - we won't sign anyone else (and I mean anyone) until Modric is sold. And here's another - if we don't sell him - we won't go into the transfer market again this Summer.
about that! its either we have too many strikers (berba, keane, bent defoe) or now we have just defoe! and last time we waited till the death we ended up selling berba and getting pav and while pav is sort of a cult hero, he wasn't great! why do we go to all this effort of making wholesales changes to the management, coaching, getting a fancy new training ground if we can't even plan for the basics that matter on the pitch. hopefully we will get two quality strikers in but our previous on this doesn't fill me with confidence.
Given Defoe's tragic news, we don't even have him available at the moment. Kane's not an out-and-out striker either, so we'll probably struggle for the remainder of the US tour, at least.
Yep - we've already spent best part of £10m once you subtract Niko + Corluka from the spends on Sigg and Vert. With AVB such a risk, maybe Levy doesn't want to free up lots of money? If the plan goes belly up at least Spurs won't be up the creek financially too. I'll be disgusted if we go into the season with 1 striker but until Modric goes I can't see it. Adebayor, if he wasn't such a greedy so and so, would've been striker #2 - but I can't even see this happening now with him wanting this £5m direct.
I would have even less of an opinion of Levy if that is the case, as while I have made my feelings known on AVB, if Levy has sacked our most successful premier league for AVB (which he has) then there should be zero apprehension towards providing AVB with funds, as he is the man Levy has chosen to take us to the next level.
Wenger appears to have denied the Sahin to Arsenal story, though it wouldn't be unusual for a manager to say one thing and then do the other: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/7942912/
We could be waiting for the Olympics to finish before making a couple of signings (for the sake of argument, Butland, Sturridge, Cavani, Hulk, Leandro, Ramirez, Ganso, wait for some Gooner/Chav to think responding with a laughing smiley constitutes as an actual response...)
At the moment our squad is weaker than last years, we have lost Rat Boy and Ledley (2 of our best players) and have brought in Siggurrdsson and Vertonghen. Sig is not the finished article and Vert will take time to adjust to the PL. There better some more quality arrivals, particularly a striker or 2.
