Tottenham in the Summer transfer window

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Moorpheus19, May 13, 2012.

  1. This may of course change with the possible 'portuguese' influence growing at the club. However, it would be good to have seen and heard rather more about his progress since coming over.... Frankly I still have no real idea whether he would be a loss to let go.

Relayer agree, but it seems a bit ambiguous, maybe he's been offered around and had no takers.

Lazio aren't doing that well in Serie A these days are they? Could be the agent just looking to get Levy to make an offer now.

Yv maybe so but we now have the "X" factor- AVB.
He maybe the magnet that brings these players to the club.

Tranfsermarkt list his value at €10m (roughly £8m), so if we got him for anything around £8-12m it would be a good deal, because he's 20, has recently made the Brazil team, and has a good record of goals and assists.

Between him and Sigurdsson, we'd have cover across midfield (and for VDV) so we can move on Pienaar and Dos Santos.

he probably has had enough of THFC Perryman.

cant blame him after his stay here..probably just wants fresh surroundings..we need to get rid of the deadwood..its clogging up the atmosphere.

If we are going after Oscar and Moutinho, then it might explain why there's been the odd mention of Huddlestone going.
Sandro and Oscar in the middle, as back-up and competition to Parker and Moutinho, perhaps?

    All random speculation, of course.

couldnt agree more, between Jenas, Bentley, Dos Santos and Gomes they must be on about 200k per week, thats a shed load of money for players that are never even getting on the bench!!!!

I'd hate for Hudd to leave, I suspect all the speculation about him is just journo hacks pretending he's been 'frozen out' because he hasn't played for a year.

I have a feeling Hudd will go too.

there's a fair few midfielders already, and rumours of others. we can't play everyone. Also as thudd isn't the quickest. I can see him not suiting avb, despite his other excellent qualities.

Also, with this new "youthful" policy we're trying to adjust to, i can see Parker not getting anywhere near as much football this year.

I don't think Hudd is an AVB player either. I'm afraid being a lovely passer isn't enough at the very top, you have be more 'complete', energy and mobility essential, first on the list almost and thats not Hudd. I think he's one of thise players you'd have to build your team round, and I can't see that happening.

you know what... I reckon we'll see Dawson Phased out too. not just yet, but at the end of the season perhaps. AVB is known for liking his pacey players, including defenders. I can just see it happening, although it's obviously something I would hate.

Roo..if he is ushered out..then i think it will be because we are a dynamic team..and that can only bode well for us..and be ultra exciting for us followers...because as you quite rightly hint at Daws is not very nippy..however i think he can have a very pivotal role for us at the back if he is willing to fight.

High line defending is not Dawsons game, never has been, never will, too slow, its his Achilles heel! ...no pun intended! :D Again, commitment isn't aways enough. It would be a very controversial move, but like you I wouldn't be surprised. You will then hear the cries of "he's at it again!", needs to be careful not to turn against supporters straight away.
