The reason you don't get it, is because you don't understand Dempsey's game. He can play lone striker better than Defoe so is cover for Ade, and he can also play wide in a 3, he is an upgrade on VDV in terms of what we needed today - it's a brilliant piece of biz And I love VDV BTW.
I don't really know my Spurs at the mo but if Dembele and Dempsey are so good why didn't Fulham do better than what they did?
And what I've been saying all day. This is a great coup for Spurs, the only player we have comparable in stature is Bale, to get the Captain of France for a club like us without CL is fantastic biz.
Moutinho is the only signing that would be needed to ice the cake of this window. Levy has done bloody well, even if that deal doesn't happen. (I'm hearing it's off now.) I imagine that Damiao or another striker will come in Jan. I ain't mad at all. Let's see what happens on the pitch.
How does that not prove he's a striker - that's a perfectly acceptable ratio - and most of the time he plays as a mid - clueless, clueless comment - Dempsey is quality and a better back up for Ade than Defoe.
Shame Moutinho has not happened however there has still not been anything said so it could still happen.
2 players doesn't make a successful team - although you could argue that Fulham have punched above their weight in the last few seasons. Probably would have struggled to stay in the PL without them.

I must admit it has been a better window than other years,however now with all these new players it may take a few games to learn how to play together. But it looks an exciting side with attacking intent,without 2nd NEW STRIKER!
you probably are as Dempsey isn't a replacement for Moutinho, he's a player who can play as a striker and wide in the front 3.
Konchesky was one of their star players a few years ago. Need anymore be said? Quality as individual players, but the rest of the team let them down. I can oly fear for Fulham now. If I'm honest, I almost feel a little guilty, but gleefully guilty
Well it's all over now....am reasonably happy with the signings we made, would have liked to get either Moutinho or another striker as cover for Ade, so tinged with a little disappointment.....will see how we get on over the next few months before I make any rash judgments!
Completely disagree. We have got a cover striker in Dempsey, and far from being in serious trouble this team/squad is now good enough to challenge top 4. We didn't need Moutinho.
I have never had a doubt about today being a success... some may have misinterpreted my earlier post saying that I was expecting stokes 3rd choice keeper, Danny Murphy and Michael Owen to arrive tonight as being negative but it was a clever distraction allowing the club to make the signings of Dempsey and Lloris. I am not and never have been a miserable git that likes to moan...apologies for any confusion that your misreading of my post has caused.
