As long as we get a vaguely decent fee, I'll be happy with that. Can we offer Bentley and Jenas to Fulham as part exchange for Dempsey, as a replacement?
Still not happy about this as in losing Rafa, we're losing a goal scoring midfielder, he can get 10-15 goals a season, plus we only have adebayor to play the lone striker, someone is going to have to step up and turn into a goal scorer as we can't just rely on adebayor & bale for goals.
Mountinho has a £31.7million) release clause in his contract, why would they accept 22 million knowing we have sold Modric for 33 million and now Rafa for 10.5 million.
Could be that he wants to leave and £22/24 million is as good as they can get. Isn't he in the last year of his contract as well?
From the BBC site "L'Equipe are reporting on their website that a transfer fee of around £9.5m, plus a further £2m to £3m to be paid in bonuses, has been agreed between Tottenham and Lyon for Hugo Lloris. Lyon will have to give 25 percent of the fee to Lloris' first club OGC
See above, that russian team bid near to 40 million for hulk and it was turned down and they are keen to sign mountinho they could afford both but are you sure he is in the last year of his contract? as I find it odd porto would let any of their big players get that close to the last year as they usually sell for huge fees.
I wasn't trying to be ITK, I saw someone quoting a Twitterer on Harry Hotspur and thought I'd mention it
Probably just playing on the Real/Spurs link after the Modric transfer. I'll go out on a limb and say we won't interested in getting any strikers after Defoe signed a new deal.
Sky apparently are saying that Llorente is even money to sign for us..it's all happening folks. Or rumoured to be happening, anyway!..
