Rumour is that we're hijacking the move for Berbatov He's too old, won't fit the new system and, despite his still obvious talent, I just don't want him at the club again. Apparently Van der Vaart has already left Spurs Lodge to head off to Hamburg This is a head/heart thing for me - head says go cos he's too injury prone, have to adjust the system for him etc - heart says don't go as he's probably our best player on his day. Still - if we get a good replacement in then that'll ease the pain.

would love berba back, i disagree he wouldn't fit in the current system i think he would get the best out of player playing off him. (doubt it will happen tho) as for VDV gutted he going but can see why in ways, just hope it works out for the best
The only issue I have with Rafa is that he never seems 100% fit. Disappears in the second half until he is ultimately withdrawn. Still the best finisher at the club though.
I think Berbs could fit in our current system, he can play lone striker. Question is would he be happy as back up?

About 8pm last night, I was really excited for today - possibilities of Lloris and Moutinho and hell, even Llorente (a man can dream right!) Now it's 10:30am today, Van der Vaart's all but gone, Lloris deal looks dead, Moutinho is all but a no-go too and the only player remotely possible today is f***ing Berbatov. Think I'll go back to bed.

We could be left in the **** playing that tactic. Luckily I just saw Affellay, Dzagoev, Lloris and Llorente walking down the High road together after leaving the club shop with new shirts, I can only assume they were going to get their names put on the back.
Then you will have less players to pick from as your goalscorers in the prediction league and therefore more chance of getting a point or two.
