Di Canio has sorted the drinking culture out. He's got the team training 7 days a week, twice a day, up hill both ways, so we're told. Anyone not giving him 100% is out the club. If Bostock doesn't change now, he never will.

Disappointing that Swindon didn't draw us in the cup. :)

So 24 hours until the window shuts and we're still "playing the game" enjoying the "thrill" of selling/buying at the last minute, yeah thats great planning for a club that wants to go to the next level!

Its not often I agree with Alan Pardew, well I never agree with Pardew as I think he is a twat! but in this case we share the same opinion of that the transfer window should be shut before the season starts as if you can't do your business in the summer then there are problems with how the club is run.

I'm not saying it, it's what I've read. Apparently on the Lyon website.

But obviously, hope the Lyon info is wrong.

Well said again Boss, ATM I am feeling both flat and furious about our transfer dealings.

We've lost valuable points, and quite posibly morale and momentum due to ENIC's faffing about, and this Loris business has got me seething. If ENIC lose him over a couple of million or whatever

If this ends up being our squad then I will be very very disappointed. The Lloris deal amazes me, surely the fee had been agreed ages ago? Unless this is Lyons last attempt at getting a bit more money?
Moutinho is a lot of money and I can't see Spurs spending close to 30m for a player despite the sale of Modric. It's definitely not Levy's style to take such a massive gamble.
I'll wait and see what happens in the next 15 and a half hours but it doesn't look promising early doors this morning.
Ghoddle I agree with your feelings towards Enic. People say that they are happy for this to be a transition year and not think about trophies. Well that's fine as bar 2 league cup wins over the last 21 years then we are pretty used to going without trophies! Every bloody season seems to be a transition year and thats complete b*llocks if you ask me for a club the size and stature of Tottenham.

There is a pic of lloris having his kit photo done on twitter. I've not checked but the bit on the Lyon website has supposedly been removed

Totally agree, It is time for ENIC to show intent or piss off and run their other companies . Not to play with people's emotion's and passion every year.

John Bostock has gone to Swindon on a loan deal. Not quite sure why this has taken so long to go through as Di Canio has wanted him back there all summer.

Yo do realise that if ENIC 'piss off' then we will have even less money to spend as they do back the club to a certain extent. Unless you know someone who has a few £100m hanging around and wants to buy the club......the point people seem to miss is that 'investment' in new players is only worthwhile if it brings success and success is very unlikely while two of the clubs in our league have basically unlimited budgets, and three more have much higher income, world-wide fan bases etc (and this pre-dates ENIC). Getting us to fourth place with the chance of a trophy is to be applauded. ENIC have taken a big risk in sacking Harry and bringing in AVB, which can only be to try to get more out of the squad so that we can qualify for CL and use the extra resources to push forward. It looks like they are trying hard to get the right players in but have a sensible approach of not paying more than we think they are worth. Chelsea, City etc can afford to pour £20m down the toilet each year to get business down early etc: we'd be bust in four years if we did that.

Sky strongly reporting Van Der Vaart departing for Germany, thoughts? I don't think it's too bad for you guys, especially since AVB said he's looking to play 4-3-3. Plus you have Sigurdsson now

I understand your point but agree with about 60% of it.
ENIC rarely seize the moment and have many has said before me,their
lack of boldness, stinginess, or call it prudence has held the club back.
An example would be the last transfer window, constant net spending on players or
when we did get in the champs league.
My passion is Spurs not a bunch of bald unattractive dodgy businessmen who are in it for their own gain.

Well it's finally here and I'm gonna make a bold claim to kick things off:

We won't sign a single player today

    There you go!

Perhaps they would prefer that we signed Joe Cole, Charlie Adam, Michael Owen and Beckham. all Harry targets.

These gripes come from many who didn't want Harry to go and resisted change and now they want nothing but change.

    Not convinced.

That would be such a poor move if it happened. VDV is class and gives great squad depth, heck I'd start him ahead of Sig ffs. I'd love him at Anfield
