Totally wrong - to quote Wiki In the summer of 2004 Drogba moved to Chelsea for a club record £24 million fee, making him the most expensive Ivorian player in history. In his debut season he helped the club win their first league title in 50 years, as well as the League Cup, and scored in the final. A year later he won another Premier League title
WOAW WOAW...........im losing track of this...its going to be mental tomorrow... Grant Hall...ok what does this guy do? ive heard of him but dont know where or why.
no, no, Levy v someone who's way richer than him, and has done far more for Chelsea than ENIC/Levy have done for Spurs. He will blow Levy out of the water if he wants to, because ENIC can't compete with him, just as Spurs haven't been able able to compete with Chelsea since ENIC took over, and to be fair to ENIC a few years before that. A sad, tragic decline in our fortunes.
I've just read that Moutinho and Willian deals are off, pity,I'd have preferred one of them instead of Ade,Defoe and Kane.
If we fail to get in a keeper and another striker, the window will be a failure even if we get in Moutinho.
He's a central defender Spurlock. Played for Brighton and it seems as if they were sorry to see him go. .
Just seen today's press conference of AVB answering Dawson questions. Looked like he was telling massive porkies. Still reckon he'll be sold.
cheers Spurcat...well good luck to the man...i really want one of these unknown players to make a name for themselves at Spurs..it does not happen often enough. Watched Modric debut for Madrid last night and the guy looked at home with all the skill and understanding he mastered at our club.....good luck to the little man.
you will be hard pushed to get an improvement on Ade...17 goals and 12 assists for us last season...plus they are both mids and you mentioned strikers.
I do find it a bit rich that AVB is getting on his high horse when a year ago it was HIM ****ing us around with modric...remember his quotes about how Chelsea were not going to pay silly money and how we had to be reasonable ... but then again I am still underwhelmed by him now being our manager. And for once I'd like us to not be pissing around on closing day trying to sign a top player ... that's how we got Saha, Rasiak, Nelson, Cesar, that Brazilian geezer in defence who made the worst debut ever, and the bloke who made his debut v arsenal in the carling cup semi final in 07 and within a few minutes of coming on as a sub he tried to head a ball about 3 inches off the ground and gave a goal away....the list is bloody endless...the only decent one was VDV ... (cue the enormous list that proves me an arse
Did AVB even say that though? It's not something I remember anyway. Was it Rocha you were thinking of? He was never going to be a good signing was he. We've made plenty of **** signings whether they were deadline day scrambles, remember Bunjevcevic came complete with gimp mask.
Well the latest is the Loris deal is off. I'll be absolutely furious if this is the case and we're lumbered with Brad for the next three months. No disrespect to the man, absolutely top bloke, love him. But he's past it, and our season won't recover from him in goal till January.
You say this but I've just read that his dad has apologised for him leaving Lyon. No one actually knows what's going on. This will happen, IMO
C'mon YV ... I know I'm old an all that but I distinctly remember him saying that on skysports...or was it fergie about ashley young...evrything seems to blur into one with me nowadays! Anyway I am still underwhelmed with AVB so I will blame him for everything bad (imagined or not) until he either leaves and I'll do my best smug I told you so posts to all the whippersnappers on here...and if he turns out to be great I'll claim I never had a doubt and tell you that you are misremembering due to your high beer consumption...simple! And yep...it was Rocha...and thanks for bringing up Bunjevcevic ... just what i need to be reminded of on my return from holiday!
John Bostock has joined Swindon on loan. Absolutely last chance saloon for the boy, hopefully Paulo can shout some sense into him.
From playing first team football at 16 with palace to wasting his career for 4 years...hope whatever went wrong gets sorted or his life will be one long "what if?"
