Multiple people on twitter claiming Moutinho is done. Deal is supposedly £18m upfront with £6m in add-ons. Supposed to be unveiled tomorrow. This deal will be the one and only thing that will keep me content if Van der Vaart leaves.
Well it's not going to happen any later than tomorrow, is it? Yesterday people were saying he'd be signed by 10pm tonight, we shall see, i'm still scepticle.
It would be incredible if we had Moutinho and Lloris by this time tomorrow (and, if I'm being greedy, Llorente) Despite the Modric saga we'll have had our best transfer window for years - and AVB will have a really solid base to work with.
Villas-Boas appears unimpressed by Hamburg's attempts to sign him, Moorpheus: ''We have had interest from Hamburg, but an offer of that dimension is not something the player deserves,'' Villas-Boas said. ''Tottenham should be respected as a club. [The transfer] doesn't seem to be happening.'' I think that we should just turn them down flat, but I guess it's something that interests the player, because of his family situation. Shame that his wife doesn't just embrace the opportunities that London would offer to her career, but I think they're settled in Germany.
I believe VdV has been quoted (a few years back) as saying he wants to end his career at Hamburg. It depends how bad he wants to go tbh - I think he's happy to stay with us for this season (I hope!)
I think Hall's fee is up to £1.5m and it's probably staggered in a similar way to Bostock's. Relatively low basic fee, but increasing with appearances, internationals, etc. and a sell-on clause. Seems to be the way that these tribunals work and the best way to suit all parties.
If Moutinho is in, I could see VDV being out. My inner conspiracy theorist tells me this is why he didn't pair with Gylfi against West Brom. (What if they combined for three goals?) Obviously I don't want him to leave, but I've been thinking he probably would leave for a while. AVB wants Moutinho badly, and something tells me AVB isn't VDV's cup of tea or vice versa.
Twitter is saying Lloris is done - according to French sources apparently. There's supposed to be something on SSN but I'm not seeing it.
Was just about to say this. We clearly follow the same people Moorph. It's French TV that have announced it apparently.
Not sure there is anything "official" out in the public domain on this, but it's a deal which has been finalised and as HBIC says, for £1.5 million.
And now apparently Lyon have come out and flatly denied any transfer for Lloris to us (again according to twitter but they're referring to some statement from OL which I can't find) But it is now on http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...nham-have-failed-to-reach?source=breakingnews
Here http://www.olweb.fr/fr/Accueil/100007/Article/60200/Communique Could just be messing around - bad news if true though...
The OL website message is quite unequivocal. They appear to be indicating that an offer made on 26th August has not been followed up. Suggests that whatever the original offer was, this would have been accepted. Very strange..... Or maybe just my appalling French!!!
