From Soccernet blog- Rafael Van Der Vaartâs hopes of making a return to Hamburg have been dashed because the German clubâs owner decided against bankrolling the deal, the paper says. It claims talks about a â¬9 million transfer had been well advanced, only for Klaus-Michael Kuehne, the seventh-richest man in Germany, to decide against doing the deal Doesn't name the paper though, looks like thats final.
I'd be delighted if we signed Dembele, although I can't see Fulham letting him go last minute so we'd need to do that deal by early next week I'd have thought.
Hasn't AVB come out and said he doesn't want VdV sold though? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/8012928/ I mean I know it's from nearly 12 hours ago (!) but this can't be out of date already can it? (it went up on SSN at 2323 pm)
I'm taking everything with a pinch of salt at the moment. things can change very quickly, and money talks. that'll apply to ins and out's. there's a lot still to happen at the moment, IMO.
Last line from yet another article on Spurs transfers in the Guardian: 'The clarity on 1 September will be a thing of beauty.' Here, here to that!
I'm not sure about that, it might be a creature of dismay for us. In fact it will be unless we've got in another striker and a keeper by then. IMHO.
Oh, go on. You'd miss all the nervous tension, and last minute drama, wouldn't you? It wouldn't be the same being a Spurs fan if everything went smoothly and quietly.
I'm sure one of our players can lend him one, Notso. It's one of the Premier League player standards, I think. Would be very funny if he did it, though. "Sorry lads, I'm off home now, nothing else is going to happen tonight..."
there's some pics that have gone on twitter in the last couple of hours, where someone has waited outside spurs Lodge today. the guy has got photos of himself and Sig, and Levy, in a standard "harry redknapp roll down the window" pose. There are also photos (taken by the same guy) of Sandro outside, who is believed to be welcoming an "official looking guy". it is being suggested that it's Damiao's agent. obviously, it could all be chit chat. but why would levy be there, and why would Sandro be welcoming someone?
Comments here from AVB: "Leandro is a fantastic player. I went to see him in Brazil when I was not doing anything and he is obviously a good player but not on our prospects at the moment." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19356586 Make of that what you will?
I can think of better things to do with a wet Friday off then sit outside the lodge all day. It's more likely Sandro's agent even if the story is true.
if Daws is staying to fight for a place, why is Mark hughes saying tonight the deal is near to collapse over Personal terms.unless i'm not leaving Spurs, is what he calls Personal terms.
Johnson's signed for Sunderland. I hope we're really serious about willian and the like, as that's a real opportunity missed, IMO.
I agree, and I feel the same about Sarin, especially with Modric going the other way. Surely we must be in for major signings for these positions. No half measures.
a couple of reports I've read this morning have quotes from Will.i.an - he's pleaded with Shakhtar not to block his move. That's encouraging. Another player that appears to want to play for us. apparently he said that shakhtar have a habit of buying players, but are reluctant to sell. fingers crossed chaps.
