Absolutely agree with this, we have already lost 2 of our best players in Ledley and Ratface and we need to keep VDV at all costs imo. We have very few truly outstanding players left, plenty of good players but not many outstanding of which VDV is.
yeah very true YV. only problem is that we just can't call these things. for all we know, inter could be saying that because both parties agreed to keep the business between themselves, and they could just be fighting off the press? as part of our relationship with them, both parties might have come to an agreement that they'll keep it behind closed doors? "There isn't any Tottenham representative here, and nothing is scheduled," he told Globo Esporte. - does there need to be one there?! has there been enough said in the past and inter have said what they want, therefore no more meetings in brazil need to happen? "The ones that have been coming here are agents. Leandro Damiao was top scorer in the Olympics. I have nothing scheduled with Tottenham. - "Internacional want to keep Leandro Damiao. He'll leave only if there is an extraordinary offer." - we have no idea what that is. maybe our rumoured 20 mill is enough. 25m was considered extraordinary for Oscar....
Exactly CB, and where's all this stuff about him being a pain or causing unrest coming from? I have no knowledge of that whatsoever, to me he's been a great buy for us, and I love his passion for the club. Not for the first time in Spursland, I am completely puzzled by what i'm seeing/hearing compared to my perceptions. I know it's all about opinions etc, but it seems to me VDV is getting a very unfair press for some reason that's beyond me.
Fryers signed for Standard Liege then on a two year deal. Who was on the Compensation Panel, Fergie and Webb? Expect him to sign for Spurs in the January transfer window for next to nothing.
That'd be brilliant I don't understand what happened, he agreed to join us and then we never got a compensation hearing and he signs for someone else
The first tribunal hearing was cancelled and when the hearing did eventually sit, it came down on the side of Man United and we were then asked to pay more than 3 times what we wanted to pay. We pulled out of the deal for this reason. There was also the additional factor taht he had played for us on two occasions and had been absolute cack in both of them !!
No he hasn't left yet, but remember he's still suspended, so expect to see things move after this weekend when his suspension finishes.
Oh yeah, keep forgetting about that. I hope he does get some regular football on loan, I still think he could become a good winger. Not sure I really like us going into the season with Vertonghen and Naughton playing a bit out of position to act as cover for Benny. Maybe we can get a cheeky loan deal from somewhere.
I can't see why we would, given we have Parker, Sandro and Livermore and other more important areas to strengthen...
Beeb site saying Fergie want's VdV,and Spurs are open to offer's for him.We want Dembele from Fulham, but United want him as well
Can't see fulham letting dembele leave with the Dempsey situation. Also, it's only on the beeb as a story from the standard. It also says we are in for willian and out for da-meow. I'd say the opposite is more likely true.
we've no garantee that Rat-boy is going abroad yet, until it's a done deal, hope so and i agree, if VDV goes it should be abroad
Could be the answer here. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...ic-to-real-madrid-conclusion-imminent?cc=3436
