this report was elsewhere a couple of days ago. - hopefully it's true. if it is, it's interesting to see that AVB has no plans for Rose.
There are strict rules concerning loan deals between PL clubs. Previously, a season long deal meant there could be no recall whatsoever, but that rule has been relaxed recently. So, provided a recall option is included at the time of the initial arrangement, then the player can return. However, that recall date cannot be before 1st January if the loan starts at the beginning of the season.
I don't think Premier League clubs are allowed to recall players from other Premier League clubs as it could potentially used tactically. It's only when the player is out for the season they can take a player back because he won't play again. All this business has left me a bit dumbfounded though, I think we need a head count to check how many players we have left.
I think it's a two way thing here. AVB has no immediate plans to play Rose, and if you recall, Rose spoke out publicly last season about having to move elsewhere if he wasn't getting regular games wiith us. So I guess this is a move which suits both parties at this moment in time.
I don't remember that, but now it makes complete sense. So would it befair to say that Naughton will be Assou Ekotto's cover? (as well as Walkers) i guess Verts will play LB too if needed. makes you realise with all of that in mind, Rose could potentially have been some way off actually getting a game for us.
Fryers as well, if the tribunal panel ever get their heads together (without someone having to use force to make them meet in the middle) levy must be back from the US - Ade in, Willian and Pjanic possibly to follow, with a few outgoings as well.
I think it's odd to be loaning out Rose, if he wasn't in AVB's plans then why are they bothering to change his squad number to 3 if he was on the way out anyway. Seems odd to go to that trouble if the player in question isn't going to be around. Hope we don't get Willian, certainly not for the reported fee! Not the kind of player we need for that sort of cash. Sad to see Hudd loaned out as well, hopefully it's not with a view to shipping him out permanently if it goes through.
But one of our problems last year was fringe 1st-teamers getting no football - are there gaps in the u-21s programme where someone like Kane might get Next Gen games?
No, the under 21's are playing every week, 14 games between now and mid-December, and then in the New Year, there are more fixtures, the number of which is determined by how well we do in this first pre-Christmas stage.
with Huddlefro's track record of names, it should be a dead cert that those 3 should follow suit! Huddlefro, I think it's time we all had a brainstorm and chose a name for you, my friend. something like "MysticYid" would be far more appropriate. or perhaps just something like... Kevin?
That was due to 'Arry being unwilling to rotate, preferring to play a totally different side in the Europa League which led to us being knocked out and our fringe players being forgotten. That said I can see Kane struggling to make the bench now so I think he may feature prominently in the new U21s league.
