Never once did Sherwood have his team prepared for kick off and they never during his residence looked
    aggressively motivated
The coach is 100 pc responsible in team preparation
Sorry but his mouth is bigger than his talent

Just reiterating my point of view. As somebody else has said, his mouth is far bigger than his talent. I don't think he's been crushed by the rush of clubs seeking his services, either.

Well, differing points of view is what debate is all about.

Schneiderlin is very good, obviously not £27 mil good. Have no idea what our board is doing and don't think they do either so who knows what could happen! As for JRod IMO he was by far our best player last year until his injury! Had he kept his form and not been injured he would have got 20 goals.

Yes we had our best ever season and played some beautiful football in particular our defending as a team was a joy to watch, we also played like utter ****e in some games, particularly vs Sunderland/West Ham etc. It will be interesting to see how you guys get on with MP :emoticon-0148-yes: good luck!

I notice that a couple of the papers have christened Eric Dier " The new John Terry" I hope this doesn't mean that all of our squad will have to look out for their WAG's if he does join us!...

Hopefully they're talking about his ability as a defender and not that he's a massive twat with a criminal, dysfunctional family.

Is there any record of him using the phrase "caralho buceta preta" while playing in Portugal?

Meanwhile, the Italian papers are saying we've agreed to sell Falque to Genoa for £4m. We'll see how that plays out.

If our new manager is as good as we are led to believe then Rose has signed as a winger
To be a defender then he would need to learn that defence comes first and running off into no man's land is a luxury we found extremely damaging every game he played

That was my cunning foreshadowing at work, as I clearly know exactly who we're going to sign several weeks in advance... <whistle>

The plus sides of Rose signing a new contract are that a) he's young, still has time to develop and probably won't be first choice LB now Davies is here (could be deployed as a winger as others have suggested but lets wait and see if that happens in the other preseason games), b) BAE may finally now be off what with us having 2 young LBs who would both expect to have reasonable game time, Fryers who can play there and Verts as an absolute last resort and c) it pumps his price up again should the likes of Sunderland and QPR come calling for him.

I was just commenting the other day that we might have four central-ish types in front, with some combination of Ade, Eiriksen, Soldado, Holtby and Lamela, that we might do well to consider wingers, and that Rose might be a good one, along with Townsend, Walker and Lennon.

I'm in the minority that still rates Rose, I think, and am glad to see the response here is not entirely negative. No doubt he made mistakes last year, but no more than most of the other defenders besides Walker, I thought. And most things are learnable other than the pace he has.

As Huddlefro says, the new contract pumps up his price, which would already be pretty decent for Sunderland for one. Giving him a year to find a place in the squad, then selling him if doesn't win enough playing time strikes me as very sensible.

Good luck to you as well. I'd be willing to pay a fairly high price for Rodriguez, but want no part of 27 million for Schneiderlin. And I hope you're able to stay up and use the cash to keep climbing up the pyramid in years to come

...as long as you stay behind us.

rose could become very good with the right coaching or will continue to be better than average...if he continues to remain better than average he will end up being sold, if he improves and pochettino's coaching works he could well become a potent force going forward and defending.

twatter is full of twats that type faster than they think

It's not called Twatter for nothing! But yeah, I agree. Rose has the basic ability. If he's properly coached and IF he's prepared to listen and learn from his previous ****-ups, then he can still be a more than useful squad player.
