Really has been bad hasn't he? I'd still have him at the club if he is available and Chelsea are willing to do business with us but his World Cup has definitely lowered his price tag.
I wouldn't mind a punt on Enner Valencia though, he's surely bagged himself a move to Europe with his performances, if available for a good price I'd like to take the risk on bringing him in.

I'd rather Bony over Lukaku tbh.

Both would probably cost around £20million.

Chelsea would want nearer 30m if selling to us I think.

We could take a punt on Bony but as we saw with Cisse (at newcastle) second season can see a complete turn around in a strikers performance, although Bony does look like he is settled but I would rather we stuck with Adebayor (if he shows he can be trusted) as in terms of ability he is ahead of both Bony & Lakaku.

Then there is Soldado, we won't have room for Adebayor, Soldado and another striker (who expects to be first choice). Harry Kane could be the surprise next season.

Pochettino will unleash the latent striking beast that is Obika.

Obika still waiting for his first premier league appearance and as we saw with Harry Kane last year, once given the chance his true quality will start to show.

Events have probably gone against Obika. On paper his chance should have come before Kane.
He is faster and stronger than Kane, but more of a Defoe head-down than Kane is, and less clinical on goal IMHO.

  10. I can't see Kane being given much more of a chance. He showed us last season that he simply isn't up to playing in the Prem.

Shame, because I would have loved nothing more than for him to have succeeded.

There are 8 EL games and at least one League Cup game for the likes of Kane to play in.
A PL loan for him would be great, either now or in January.

Kane was playing on the left of a front three in the U21s, so there's a potential outlet there as well.+

Kane and Obika played well in the 4-3-3 of the U21 2012-13 season.
Which reminds me : where has Ceballos got to ??

The loan to Arouca must be over by now. Are the club keeping Ceballos, or selling him ??

You really think that you can tell anything about someone that age on the basis of a few games?

Harry Kane will be to us what Jay Rod was to Southampton and save us millions of pounds on signing a striker. Sherwood has saved Levy 25 million by bringing through Bentaleb and if Kane is a success then he's saved us another 25 million.

If Obika also proves his quality then we should be sending Sherwood a gift , although knowing Levy he will send it royal mail 2nd delivery!

Why are some people on here saying Kane isnt good enough and should be loaned out?

I thought he was excellent at the tail end of the season and i believe he will get games next season.

Current news is that we've supposedly agreed a fee of 8m with Swansea for Ben Davies (LB)
