BBC Gossip, "Spurs are ready to sell Adebayor in the January transfer window." About time, please just give him away. We are in for Schurrie but face competition from Liverpool. Could this be a major Chelsea sell off to buy Bale?

 

Who will buy him? We will have to pay off his contract or give him a free transfer to get rid of him in my opinion.
Schurrie is not trusted by jose so he wants him gone...cant see it being a big money sale

 

We've tried and failed to get rid of him before and City struggled to get rid of him too. I think the chance to rid ourselves of him was in the summer, lots of money was flying around in the PL and his stock was high after scoring goals under Sherwood. It will be much tougher to get rid of him in January, I think,

As for Schurrle, that would be an incredible move. I think he'd suit what Pochettino's trying to do and with the right training and a bit of luck he could become a top forward. Don't know how Liverpool would fit him in but I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in a big money deal to Wolfsburg, Dortmund or Atletico.

 

Out of the German strikers we're linked with, I'd certainly take Schurrle over Podolski any day of the week, or month, or year.

On the topic of transfers in general - it seems like, for the third or fourth window in a row, we're in need of a major clearout. There's at least 5 or 6 players that I can think of that could go and we probably would be better for it (without getting anyone in to replace).

For me Bale is history and nothing more to do with us and I don't see him staying anywhere too long should he leave Real.

 

Alright 5 or 6 is perhaps a bit OTT - but we could probably lose Chiriches, Paulinho and BAE and not even notice it. Once you add on players like Adebayor and Naughton (both who aren't good enough for this club but would need replacing) then it's another big window needed.

 

I know what you mean but Poch watched Samper for Barca B, 3 Serie A clubs want Lamela and Stoke are in for Lennon. Sol and Ade are on the list and Vlad, it's another unsettling time. I'm still not sure that Poch is the right man to sort it all out.
