Given how deep we are at some positions (CM, anyone?) I wonder if there isn't an element of player commodity trading anticipated; that is, because we now have some capital, we're in the player buying and selling market as an end in itself, with the long term strategy of using that market to help pay for our stadium. I love that Chelsea took what I thought was our worst deal off our hands...30 million for Paulinho and 17 for Willian would have been more like it.

apparently Chiriches is at at heathrow, according to Michael Bridge. (he's a SSN journalist, but also the writer of our official Annuals. He's also a spurs fan, so I don't expect this to be bullshit.)

That's true of all of our signings. When I see one of them, I just naturally assume that we're bringing him in.
