I know most of you won't agree to this but if Bale did leave this window and we brought in:
Di Maria
Coentrao
Chadli
Soldado
Paulinho
And came out with 10 million plus in the bank I would take that.
If bale doesn't leave this summer he will next.
As Tottenham Jamspurs has said, although Bale got us loads of points last season with wonder goals the balance of our team wasn't that good.
With those 5 players above and the return of Kaboul and Sandro we would have a hell of a team next year even without Bale. Also I think those signings show enough intent to the other players rather than them being demoralised Bale is leaving and want out too.
If I had a choice I would keep Bale every time but I'm just saying the alternative may not be too bad.

You'd be able to get 60m+ for Bale...

I don't think you guys should go anywhere near Hulk, overated and inconsistent.
...Paulinho already mentioned that he was told Bale will stay and so it's clear to me that he's a magnet for bringing in top players.
If that's the case, then I don't see how Levy can agree to the sale of Bale.
Time for Bale to break his silence I think, if he really wants to go be man enough to say so, and tell the supporters, if he is going to stay equally tell the press, do an interview someone would surely report it and put the rumours to bed once and for all. Is it really that difficult to get the press to report the truth? Once this is done the club can move on if he really wants out sell him now and give yourself time to make the signings you need to "replace" him
Wilshere quashed rumours linking him away via Twitter.
As they say, silence is golden.
Agree with your comments entirely
Has Wilshere actually been linked with anyone? Not sure who'd actually be interested in him at the moment, while he's talented (but over rated) his injury record is awful for someone so young, too much of a risk in my opinion for any team to splash out on.
Hulk is out of the question due to his ridiculous wages. He's now only an option for clubs like city, Chelsea, PSG, Monaco etc. he's sold himself to the devil and unless he's prepared to take an astronomical pay cut, he's a total write off.
If bale is sold, we need at least 2 players who are full of creativity. We haven't replaced modric's attributes as it is, let alone if bale goes.
God knows who we'd sign. We'd have to sign those players before we sell bale though. If we wait till he's sold and there's 80 odd mill in the bank, we'll be over a barrel with the selling clubs as they'll know we've got **** loads to spend.
i continue to see all of this as consistent with a desire to hold levy's feet to the fire in order to get the most out of a new contract. Surely making the threat of a move to real as credible as possible is the way to get the most leverage in contract negotiations. Bale saying a word either way hurts his negotiating stance: Word in favor of tottenham makes him seem available for less money; a word in favor of real makes him less desirable to keep.
We might or might not be able to come up with a better team minus bale and plus transfer money. But i feel levy, avb and tottenham in general will have made it clear they're not to be trusted or believed. Nbc, among others, will have every right to feel betrayed, not to mention paulinho. While you clearly can carry on in business with some money in the bank, doing so with all your credibility gone strikes me as an iffy prospect at best.
They made a choice to put their credibility on the line on this issue. They now have got to carry it through or face the probably disastrous consequences of everyone losing faith in their word.
