I said this yesterday. Apparently AVB / Baldini were given £50 million to spend if Bale goes that's even more if it is reinvested. I honestly think we could build a title challenging side with that.
But as others have said would these players come to us?
Well it looks like we could have 3 of those and keep Bale. Di Maria would be nothing but a poor Bale replacement and whilst Coentrao's quality we'd be much better off keeping Bale. If we did sell him though I'd expect at least one of Hulk and Lamela to come in as a replacement and a few other players on top ensuring we had a net spend.
Personally, I'd sell Bale and buy Hulk and someone else.
Hulk has been a bit on and off at Zenit, but there's no denying his quality.
You'd be able to get 60m+ for Bale, and Hulk would likely cost us half of that.

By the way, I really do hope that we do NOT buy Hulk, as I believe he's extremely overrated. The only thing of any significance I've seen of him is his fat arse.

If this Di Maria + Coentrao + money (45mish is the rumour)? At least you sort out your left back problem. Coentrao is great and improved a lot defensively under Mourinho and Di Maria is pretty decent (you'll still attract the diving critics though).
I don't want to see Bale leave the league but if the deal above is true then it's a pretty good one. The wages rumoured to be offered to Bale will probably cover the wages of both Di Maria and Coentrao, if not all of them. They both came from Portugal so I don't think they'll be on as much as you think at Madrid.

We'd get more than £60m for Bale. Can't see a penny less than £80m and seeing as Real are pissing off everyone associated with Spurs, I hope Levy holds out for around £90m or even a £100m just to make them sweat and pay up.

I think there's far more that don't rate him than those that do at this moment. Anyway, he was very good at Porto, particularly under AVB so the prospect of linking them up again is an exciting one.
Everyone fades into obscurity in Russia, Eto'o did the same and was far more proven. He's unhappy, playing in a poor league with racist fans, it's no wonder he's not pulling up any trees so I don't think there's any reason to seriously doubt whether he'd do well in our league, he's built for it.
Signing him would almost certainly mean selling Bale though so obviously I'm against this.

I don't think Bale will go. I've just been speaking about what I'd want/ expect IF Bale was cashed in on. Reports saying his head has been turned are bollocks in my opinion, he's a well grounded lad. Apparently Real have also said it's now or never, again, that's bollocks. There's no way Real will suddenly lose interest if they don't get him now (though I'd love it if they did
).

Has Wilshere actually been linked with anyone? Not sure who'd actually be interested in him at the moment, while he's talented (but over rated) his injury record is awful for someone so young, too much of a risk in my opinion for any team to splash out on.
IF Bale is in contract negotiations with Spurs via his agent then we cannot expect any public utternaces until this is complete. You can't come out and say you are staying if the lever to obtain a bigger contract is that you might go.

Hulk is out of the question due to his ridiculous wages. He's now only an option for clubs like city, Chelsea, PSG, Monaco etc. he's sold himself to the devil and unless he's prepared to take an astronomical pay cut, he's a total write off.

I continue to see all of this as consistent with a desire to hold Levy's feet to the fire in order to get the most out of a new contract. Surely making the threat of a move to Real as credible as possible is the way to get the most leverage in contract negotiations. Bale saying a word either way hurts his negotiating stance: word in favor of Tottenham makes him seem available for less money; a word in favor of Real makes him less desirable to keep.

But I feel Levy, AVB and Tottenham in general will have made it clear they're not to be trusted or believed. NBC, among others, will have every right to feel betrayed, not to mention Paulinho. While you clearly can carry on in business with some money in the bank, doing so with all your credibility gone strikes me as an iffy prospect at best.
