He scored two against them in April when we beat them 6-2 at their place. Presumably they liked the look of him. I think he was trialling up there before the end of last season.
I've noticed that before too - I liked to think that our boy was the lovechild of these two, with the defensive ability of Zapata and the striking guile of Caicedo - so essentially a good defender.
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/player-list-100613.page? Ekong's on trial at DC United, Barthram at Swindon - Swindon seem to be stocking up on our Academy players, then...
Cheers for that - I'll update the OP As an aside - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nho-join-Tottenham-Corinthians-17million.html It's a daily mail source with quotes! :O
The Fail seem to be reporting that Paulinho's a done deal: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nho-join-Tottenham-Corinthians-17million.html ‘I feel I am ready to experience football at the highest level in Europe and the opportunity to play in England is a dream,’ ‘It’s a great pleasure to be linked to such a great club like Tottenham. ‘They have a reputation as one of the great clubs in England who play exciting, attacking football which suits my style. ‘I couldn't turn them down if they made it made me an offer. It would be a great pleasure to play for Tottenham.’ No source for the quotes and they sound like he's talking about a potential transfer, though.
The source is the Brazilian Press, Globo Esporto claiming to be quoting Duilio Monteiro Alves the director of football at Corinthians . I'll believe it when it's on the Spurs website. Levy is bound to try and screw them for two or three million.
Paulinho's comments are all over the U.K. press now - including The Indie and The Telegraph. Seems like it's being taken seriously.
Sky Italy saying we've outbid Roma for tin jedvaj. Anyone know anything about him?! http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_Jedvaj
Tin eh? Maybe something got lost in translation between Levy and Baldini... "I said we needed to add mettle to our defence Franco, not metal" Born in 1995 6 foot 2 at the age of 17... One of those players who has done well at a young age purely due to size?
Always a danger with kids who are big for their age. I wonder if youth teams could be arranged not by age but by size/weight? Hang on - I'm thinking of boxing...
Nope. Googled him though and it seemed to suggest Arsenal are after him, not us. Sounds like bollocks to me.
