Spot on Roo. Our squad is now very strong. If we could put this team out then we would give most teams a game:

    Lloris

Rose (I would prefer Benny but that's not going to happen
    Kaboul
Vertonghen (sorry GH10 but I think they are our best 2 centre backs)
    Walker

    Sandro
    Paulinho
Capoue/Dembele (I would say Dembele but he has been poor so far)

    Eriksen
    Soldado
    Lamela

    Subs:

    Friedel
    Dawson
    Chiriches
    Capoue/Dembele
    Chadli/Lennon/Townsend
    Holtby/Sigurdsson
    Defoe/Adebayor

    That is very strong.

I'm probably jumping the gun a bit but given the reputations of our front 3 and the money we have spent on them it is reasonable to assume they are being looked at as future 1st team starters.

We could very easily put 2 very strong sides out. The players above come to 22 and that is not even counting players like Fryers, Carroll or Naughton.

If we can solve the creativity issue then things are looking very positive. I can't remember the last time we went to Arsenal away and had more possession and more chances. I know we lost but it is a step forward. Even when we won there 3-2 a few years back we were not the best team and we were lucky to win. It really isn't all doom and gloom and I think if AVB does his job the minimum should be top 4.

  3. Apparently, we've turned down a £10m loan deal for Hulk.

    No **** Sherlock!

But talking of Chadl, I play the metro fantasy football (not going to brag but i'm in the top 400 overall)...but going back to Chaldi, the game works on opta stats so its not all about goals/assists, and to my surprise hes one of the top scoring players. Players get awarded points for passes completed, tackles and various other stats.

I may need to go easy on my condemning of CRAP Chaldi, as otherwise hes going to prove me wrong!

Unless something changes dramatically, I don't ever want to see those 3/4 line up as our 3 midfielders.

one needs to be sacrificed for Eriksen or Holtby, always.

Until i see those 3/4 change the way they play (which I don't think the based on their attributes/style they can/will) then I will continue to moan about a playmaker! <laugh>

So if you were AVB Roo who would you pick as a front 6 and what formation?
If we were 2-0 Ihink those 3 could do a great job in seeing out a match. We need to score 2 goals first though!

Its mainly because hes from the dutch league and virtually all attacking players from holland are useless, unless they turn out to be VDV..or Eriksen LOL

Also he doesn't seem to work that hard, wants to do silly tricks, wayward shots and can't head the ball!

Just haven't taken to the player at all.

hard to say at the moment, but i just don't believe those 3 we've seen will work effectively. they're all too similar.

    I'd have something like:

    Sandro Paulinho
    Lamela Eriksen chadli
    Soldado

But you could easily have lennon and townsend in there, or holtby. The most important thing for me is that soldado has sufficient support.

The way we need to go is this :

    Sandro Holtby
    Lamela Carroll Erisken
    Soldado

Try picking the lack of creativity out of that <ok>

  19. Exactly!

We'll be fine when the lads settle in.

The Gooners won't get much chance to scoff that often, I'm sure.
