Apparently it is. He's heading over on Thursday to sign his contract and complete a medical according to many reports.
I'm delighted if Vlad signs. Never seen him play, but just have a good feeling that he will be an asset. TBH, couldn't care less about Lamela, just trust in the club they've got it right. Definitely don't want Hulk, as with Willian I think it's an AVB obsession that is completely misguided. May easily be wrong of course.
Roo, my point was that I would be concerned if he's waiting until Thursday to sign the contract (even worse if it's Friday), especially if his camp is broadcasting it to the world. For one thing, if it's just a case of signing a contract that has been agreed, he can just do it at home.
Seems a strong reaction for Chiriches compared to Lamela? all I know is they both look sick on Youtube. in fact, Chiriches looks like the best player ever. I watched it three times and didn't realise he was a CB untill I read it on here!

Why be delighted at Vlad, who up until about a month ago I think it's fair to say not a single Spurs fan had heard of and yet you couldn't care less about one of the most promising youngsters in world football? Agree with the Hulk part though. I mentioned the other day I felt he was overrated. Lamela plays in the same position, looks the better player, is cheaper both in transfer value and wages AND has a lot more time on his side to improve. Anyway, lets just hope we can tie both Chiriches and Lamela to contracts soon, would be a great "present" if Spurs announced them before kick off or during half time against Dinamo on Thursday.

Well steau have just qualified for the CL, so if that was the issue, he would have stayed with them. Just because willian is a ****, it doesn't mean chiriches is. No one really knows the facts, it's gossip. But I don't expect him to get poached.
Dan PetRescue is the manager of Dynamo Moscow and he's been moaning about missing out of Chiriches because we've signed him, so it sounds like it's happening.
Fair comment SG. I just get these hunches, some are right, some wrong. I must stress I have no issues against Lamela, just don't have any vibes for him. I did have issues against Willian, and I do have issues against Hulk. Basically I don't trust AVB's judgement and his pet players don't appeal to me. May be well wrong as usual.

It's just me, I get these ideas in my head, some are good, some are stupid A bit like AV, Redknapp, and any other Spurs manager you care to mention, including the greatest of them all, Billy Nick. Boy, did he make some wrong calls, the man who let Souness go for free being one of them.
Agreed there. Both players seem underwhelming for the money and seem more hype then anything. Lamela I think has big potential, his style is very reminiscent to Ronaldo before he bulked up and became a goal scoring monster. Whether that translates to 30m well spent is another matter, but i do agree about trusting Baldini ahead of AVB. Now if he was to have wanted Falcao at the start of the summer....
