If Chelsea have signed Willian and German dude, along with De Bruyne, Oscar and Hazard, could it mean that they would be willing to let Mata go?
I would LOVE to see him at Spurs. I believe that, based purely on performance and not goals, which inflate a player's rating, Mata was probably the best player in the league last season. I think he is an incredible footballer who has that rare ability to unlock defenses.

If Spurs are to sell Bale, Levy / Baldini / AvB should call up Mourinho and put a £30m bid for Mata. It might mean he doesn't play CL football this season or challenge for the title, but it will mean he plays the overwhelming majority of games and he would be welcomed by the Spurs fans tremendously.

Although premature, it seems the last two games have shown the need for Spurs to sign a footballer that can make that killer pass and Mata is someone that can do just that. Levy / Baldini / AvB, if any of you read this, GO BUY MATA!

Let's not forget that probably Modric's best season with the club was his last one where he didn't play the first few games cos of a potential transfer. Transfer didn't happen, Modric had a great season and we flogged him for a barrow-load of cash the following summer. I have no doubt that Levy will have that in mind with Bale. IF Bale doesn't go there is no reason to think that his performances will definitely plummet.

I think Bale will be fine if we don't sell him. I also think he and Lennon are injured. Also I don't think the last two games have shown we need someone who can play a killer pass.

We've scored 7 goals in 3 games so far, two of those games away, including a massive trip to farthest Europe with a team getting to know each other and missing its best player. Get Bale playing again, plus ideally another striker, and we'll be fine as far as scoring goals go, I reckon.

I'd far prefer Bale to any player Real have except Ronaldo, and he ain't joining Spurs any time soon.

I doubt Tottenham and Chelsea will do any business after the whole Modric saga.

Sounds like a made up name, you know an anagram like "Monster Hoax By Sir Peter S" (which you might remember if you're as old as me). I can't do anagrams, but this one probably comes out something like "why do you continue to believe journalist crap".

    Mourinho hates AVB
    Roman hates AVB

If there is a reason that any deal won't happen its because of that

I looked up Tancredi Palmeri after Roo questioned his reliability a few days ago.

    First impressions: Italian Wideboy.

Second impression: Journalist with a long list of employers. BBC, Talksport, etc, etc,

Final impression: Full of it, like all the others.

Why would Roman hate AVB? If anything he should feel guilty about how AVB was treated?

Because AVB said to the press about Roman asking him to come in and change out the old guard and then when he did that he then fired him.
AVB has had a few digs in the press at Roman. I can imagine how that goes down with a pseudo-mafia-type-person

Chelsea are run on no commercial line, money has no meaning as they can buy their trophies and any cock ups can easily be rectified pretty instantly.
Roman is the modern equivalent of an Ottoman Sultan surrounded by his eunuchs. Chelsea is a club that culturally inept , bitter, and cruel like it's
    owner.
He has a hatred of Spurs and will do anything to stifle us. Trying originally to buy us, Modric saga and many others instances . Roman's corrupt money has
bought him a shield and guaranteed success in football.
Levy would not be that stupid to attempt it.
Matta , not on your nelly.

    Of course not.
Chelsky regard us as a serious rival for their CL slot now.

true. We can't even get him to go on strike or request a move. Does anyone even know if Malouda is still alive?

We'd never get Mata. As much as I'd love him here, Chelsea would never do any business with us after rejecting all advances off them for Modric. This on top of the fact that they'd be allowing a rival to strengthen too.

Only way we'd get Mata is if it were in some sort of a swap deal with Bale.
