Factitious Madrid to pay for our new stadium as well as Bill Nicholson International Airport on the site of the Bollympic Stadium.

Last I heard of Palmeri was winter 2012 when he was saying that there was
a very high likelihood of Sneijder coming to Spurs (Milan + player were getting
beaten up a bit by the Italian tax regime) .

Still wish we could keep Bale, he's far better than any signing we're likely to make.

There really is nothing much new in that "report". Most of it we already knew. It has been well documented that Levy has been pissed off with Real's shenanigans. I still feel that if any deal is to be done, it will be on Levy's terms, NOT Real's.

I can believe the bit about Bale not kicking off. Of course he will be disappointed if the transfer falls through, but I think he's professional enough to accept it.

The more Real irritate Levy with their aggressive tactics, the more intransigent Levy is liable to become. He is a businessman, above all. And, given Bale's non aggressive attitude, Levy holds most of the cards currently.

It's been a quiet few days. I'm expecting some news by the end of today.
I reckon we'll have 2 players signed and available to play against arsenal on Sunday.

I don't think any new signing will start against Arsenal, but it would be nice to have 'a Lamela' on the bench.

Be even nicer to see Bale on from the start.

If the Bale deal does fall through I hope he is professional and gets on with it. I really worry he won't be though perhaps that's me just being negative over the behaviour of Berbatov and Modric. Of course the best thing is Bale to stay but I would rather he went than have a stroppy Bale on our hands refusing to play.

I really hope Lamela is done by tonight/ tomorrow - Que a late Chelsea bid!!! If he does arrive soon though there's every chance we'll have him on the bench for the NLD.

Chiriches seems to be on his way too, apparently after Steaua's CL game on Weds.

There is no way he STILL has a foot injury - meaning if he doesn't start vs Arsenal I want him sold. AvB has said 2-3 times now he should be back "in a few days" but as the transfer rumblings continued over the past 3 weeks Bale's injury seems to as well.

If he is still at the club when that game comes and he cant see the importance for the club, the squad and mainly the fans then continues to have a "foot injury" just to force a transfer through I don't want him anywhere near our club.

I don't think it's just Bale saying he has a foot injury TJ, it's everyone invoked in the potential transfer as he can't afford to get injured. As the transfer window closes on Monday night there is no way he will play v Arsenal. I can see this transfer going right down to the wire.

"foot injury" is the new "head's not in the right place". I believe Lennon has a "foot injury" too.

hahaha, the sun (sub required so no link, wtf who would pay a sub for the sun???) claims we've dangled a bale carrot in front of utd.....................for £125m.

I'm loving this now. I know he's going so its good to see us wumming Real and Utd about it.

Tancredi Palmeri saying we've approached Chelsea over Mata. If levy pulls that one off, he's a genius.
It'll be an astonishing transfer with everything considered.
I wonder what odds you'd get on that?

I really cant see this one happening.

Don't get me wrong, Mata is incredible and I'd be beyond delighted and I'd love for him to come but I think if it was announced that we officially had an offer accepted United would be all over it - He is the exact type of player they are missing.

Not to mention Monaco who are also in the market for someone like this to play alongside Moutinho. Then there's Atletico Madrid who have money to burn and would let him return to Spain and (I think) are in Champion's League. They also have money to burn since Falcao left. Mata playing behind Villa...
